Bottle Refusal

Hello everyone. My baby is 9 months old and half nursed/breastfed and half bottle fed with breast milk when I am at work. She has suddenly started completely refusing the bottle. We think we know why - she’s been sick and teething. The pediatrician said it’s probably a phase and to look out for wet diapers, which she has enough. It’s really hard because I have to work but stress about her not eating while I’m gone. Has anyone experienced this/does anyone have any advice?

Yes, they figure it out. It doesn’t last. My baby started this for a few days before his tooth erupted most recently.
Sometimes I change his nipple flow.
They will eat if they are hungry enough.

My girl has refused a bottle since 4 months. I am home all day with her so that plays a larger role in her refusal I think. So I know it’s stressful and I’m sorry mama for that!

At the end of the day, if baby is hungry they will eat.

My 9month old is doing the same right now. Think he has a few teeth popping through.

My baby started refusing bottles at 3 months old but I stay home with her everyday so it wasn’t a big deal for us but recently since she’s turned 9 months we’ve tried again and we started using the rubber straw cups and she uses them perfectly!

What is a “pop”? Is it people’s gentle way of saying a smack?

Seen this used on here a few times this week saying they “pop” their child if they’ve done something wrong. Are we just trying to sugarcoat hitting here? I don’t think calling it a pop makes it any better🥴

Sterilising

Are we still sterilising our bottles? I know they say to sterilise until they’re off formula because of the bacteria and all that but I put formula in his porridge and don’t sterilise the bowl and he’s fine? So surely I can stop? 🤞🏼
It’s becoming a real ball-ache of a chore that I dread doing after he’s gone to bed!

How can I get my baby to nap in their bassinet?

My baby will only contact nap, and every time I try to put them down in their bassinet, they wake up almost instantly. Has anyone found gentle ways to help their baby nap independently, or is it just a waiting game? Would love to hear what worked for others!

Constipated

My 5 week old is fully breastfed and growing very good... She is very alert, plenty of wet nappies but for the past 2 days hasn't had any poo. She has been farting and passing wind but I'm just getting worried as it will go to day 3. She is feeding ok and everything seems fine except that she hasn't had any poo for the past 2 days. Any advice or anyone who has been in this situation?

4-month nursing crisis

Have you heard about the 4-month nursing crisis? My baby is officially 4 months. Feeding him for the past few days have been challenging. He’ll either latch and start crying right away or he will nurse for a few minutes and then start crying as if he is in pain. I then put him in an upright position and he calms down. A few times I unlatched him and he burped but still when I try to get him to latch again he’ll start crying. I’m so tired and frustrated that his feeding sessions have been this way. Also when I feed him overnight all is calm and goes well so I’m at a loss cause I’m not sure what could be wrong other than gas. Thoughts?
