Have you heard about the 4-month nursing crisis? My baby is officially 4 months. Feeding him for the past few days have been challenging. He’ll either latch and start crying right away or he will nurse for a few minutes and then start crying as if he is in pain. I then put him in an upright position and he calms down. A few times I unlatched him and he burped but still when I try to get him to latch again he’ll start crying. I’m so tired and frustrated that his feeding sessions have been this way. Also when I feed him overnight all is calm and goes well so I’m at a loss cause I’m not sure what could be wrong other than gas. Thoughts?

I had this issue! My baby would do this all day one day and then was fine at night or when he was sleepy, and the next day he couldn’t cry at all! And then the next day, back to fussy and crying as soon as he latched. It lasted about a week on and off but he hasn’t done it in a few weeks! All that to say, not sure what it’s from but just try to get him as calm as possible before feeds or nurse him to sleep when it’s time for naps <3 it’ll pass!

Definitely sounds like gas I just use gripe water for my 4 month old and she definitely farts a lot but she’s a lot more happy
