Constipated

My 5 week old is fully breastfed and growing very good... She is very alert, plenty of wet nappies but for the past 2 days hasn't had any poo. She has been farting and passing wind but I'm just getting worried as it will go to day 3. She is feeding ok and everything seems fine except that she hasn't had any poo for the past 2 days. Any advice or anyone who has been in this situation?

Alternatively tell her you have somewhere important to be at a specific time 😂

My 5 week old has been exactly the same! Was then followed by an enormous poonami (all over dad!) And 2 more full nappies of poo throughout the day. Cycle has repeated again. I asked my GP and she said their digestive systems are really ramping up and maturing at this point in time. Its just hard to see them struggle when theyre grunting and straining 🥺

Oh, also a warm bath can sometimes help! P.S. been there with my 2yo when they were little aswell as with my 3 week old not long ago

So fed up

Baby only contact naps in a dark room. I'm so over it.

Why can't it be one or the other.
Nap in the dark OR contact nap.
Its not right, it's not healthy.

He's nearly 4 months and I've tried a few times to get him out if this habit but it never sticks!

I don't want this anymore. I dread EVERY nap. I love him and love being a mum during wake windows but when nap time rolls around I find myself regretting being a mum and I feel terrible for it, but I can't do this anymore hours on end in the dark every day for months on end. 😭😭😭

Second hand baby stuff

I am curious what everyone thinks on second hand baby stuff like, car seat, push chair, cot etc. babies grow very fast, they grow out many things in just few months and kinda feel like it is a waste of money and not good for the environment. And also think as first time mum he/she is going to be my only child so I should get whatever is the best. On a dilemma 🤷‍♀️

Is it really that bad with a toddler and newborn?

Some of the posts on here are worrying me, I have so much anxiety anyway.

I have a toddler and a newborn that will be arriving this week. I’m terrified I won’t cope and it’ll send me into psychosis and depression again 😢

Bottles

I know that when they are 1 they will be swapping gradually to cows milk instead of formula but how do we do that?
Currently he has 4 bottles a day
1 x 240ml and 3 x 300ml
He typically drinks around 1000ml a day
Along with food twice a day but he doesn’t typically actually eat this food, more just chomps it and throws it around.
Obviously his 1st birthday is coming up and I have no idea what to do, I think I’ve been a bit naive and not really planned the transition over very well, will he still be having 4 bottles a day but just cows milk instead when he’s 1? And keep up with the food, how do I know when to drop a bottle? How do we just know these things?! 😟

Bruises on child at nursery

I don't know if I am being paranoid.

My son is 2, going through his terrible two phase, so can be a lil challenging at times.

The nursery failed it's offset recently in terms of managing behaviours.

I notice this week he came home with multiple bruises on each leg. Like 5 on one and 4 on the other.

While I know bruises are common and children can play rough with each other, it tends to only happen when he is at nursery.

My mind instantly went to is someone harming him at nursery. As they can't deal with his tantrums.

Am I being a paranoid mum?

What would you do?

Any tips or recommendations?
