My 3 month old fights his naps all day everyday. How do you all put your baby down for a nap? I rock him for 10 mins and the entire time he is kicking and wiggling and fussing until he basically is exhausted and finally falls asleep. I rock him and pat his back and give him pacifier. I've tired so many different methods but putting him down for nap is always a struggle. Once he is asleep I transfer him and he sleeps great for all naps. Its just so difficult to get him to that point. Any tips?

I’ll start by saying this is all very normal! One thing that really helped my daughter wind down was focusing on my own breathing. It’s a concept called coregulation. This will help them to relax. As for getting them to sleep on their own it takes patience and consistency. They have to learn that they are safe. My daughter is now 8 months old and I’m just now consistently trying to get her to nap on her own.
