Hello!!
Does anyone else feel intense anxiety when someone offers to take the baby? My MIL constantly talks about needing alone time with the baby and she’s only 7 months old and it sends my brain haywire whenever she says it. She’s made so many comments and it’s Everytime we see her. It was never my plan to have people babysitting or anything like that until she’s old enough to say ‘can I stay with…grandma, auntie etc’ ❤️

I feel exactly the same. My MiL actually bought a massive new SUV recently with the intention of transporting my daughter. The thing is, we already have the nursery sorted for when I go back to work, and when she's not at nursery she'll generally be with me. I'm not saying there will never be a situation where we need a babysitter, but those occasions are likely to be very rare.
My MiL turns 70 soon and isn't the most confident driver. I just don't feel comfortable with her ferrying my daughter around. She gets offended by comments people make about older drivers, but I don't think she realises that she's already becoming a bit doddery. The thought of her driving a huge car, with loads of features and controls she doesn't fully understand, genuinely scares the life out of me.
