Not leaving the house much

Anyone else feel really bad when they don't go out much with their baby. It sounds awful but quite often I just can't be bothered (especially if it's raining) but then I feel really guilty for my baby that we've not been anywhere and worry shes bored playing with the same toys all day every day. Feel like a bad mum not giving her different experiences 😩

Everything is better with some perspective. Remember that it is only in recent history that we actually started caring so much about our babies entertainment. Before that, they were either thought to have no feelings of importance or taken to work with mothers who could not afford to just stay home, or left home alone with older siblings, or just left outside to take some air! Fascinating but totally mindboggling stuff from our perspective. Nowadays, we are busy keeping our babies entertained so much (at least those of us who can afford maternity leave) that we often forget about our own needs or comfort. While, yes, it's nice to get out with a baby every day when possible, I don't think you should guilt trip yourself for feeling like staying home every once in a while when the weather is bad. I'm sure your baby still has more toys and care than most babies throughout human history. Give yourself a break 🫶

Tooth extraction

I am having a wisdom tooth extraction next week, I will be sedated and the procedure will take about an hour and a half. I have a four month old and I’m exclusively breastfeeding. In the consent form it says I shouldn’t breastfeed for eight hours and I should pump and dump.

I was wondering if any of you had a tooth extraction with sedation and are breastfeeding?

Can you tell me if you had to wait with breastfeeding? If not was the baby okay?

A lot of places say that I don’t have to wait and I can breastfeed as soon as I feel well enough. I have pumped some milk and kept it in the freezer, but I’m not sure if it’s enough and I don’t know if the baby will take the bottle.

Wake windows

Hi, my baby is 12 days old and is starting to stay awake longer and longer and I have no idea what to do with him, we've done tummy time but he's too young to do it too long. He just stars at me and me makes funny noises and I havnt got a clue what to do with him. He can't even see very far yet 😅 please can I ask what you guys did?

When is too early for my ex partner to have my daughter overnight

Me and my ex broke up three weeks ago and he’s already asking to have her overnight. She is 8 months formula fed and semi co-sleeping

Since birth she has been very much dependent on me and breast fed for the first 3 months
Any advice?

Did you notice new words, signs, better communication, or anything else you could directly attribute to her? Or is she just a lifesaver when you need 20 minutes to get something done? 😂

Hi Girls

When should I start putting my baby down to nap, atm i'm still contact napping every nap in the carrier because he either wakes as soon as I put him down or if he does stay asleep he only sleeps 30 mins or less, hes nearly 7 months, im actually completely fine contact napping but im feeling v bad about it as if im doing something wrong and I should be teaching him now 🤔

If your answer is keep contact napping then when long term should I stop? Hes going to Nursery at 9 months old

So I accidentally made my now two months old, a Velcro baby. I’m not really able to get a lot done nor get enough sleep. If I lay him down, he sleeps for a little bit and wakes back up like he can sense I’m not near him. I don’t know what to do.
