Hi, my 9-month-old just started nursery this week. He’s doing amazing with eating and playing, but staff was struggling to put him down for a nap in the cot. My LO ended up sleeping in their arms and it seems to be the only solution for him to nap for longer.
It’s only his 1st week, but the room leader is already making me feel a bit stressed about it. I think he just needs time to settle in, maybe a few weeks or is it too long 🥲? For those who have been through this, how long did it take for your babies to get used to nursery naps? Any tips to help him adjust? 🙏

Mine has been at nursery since the start of May and she still struggles with naps at nursery. I've noticed it depends which staff member is caring for her on that day if she sleeps or doesn't but her naps usually only last max 30min and sometimes she only has one nap there

My daughter naps at nursery but i’ve noticed they are about half the duration she would usually sleep at home.
Working in a nursery myself I can say it is completely normal! They are just getting used to the new surroundings and faces, some settle right in and some take a while, i’m sorry the room leader is causing some stress! x
