I found removing it slowly in the day time 1st was a massive help. Then my daughter would go down without it for naps and night time was the last time to remove it and it took about a week for her to get used to not having it at night.
It's a tough process so you definitely have to pick a time when you feel ready to stick to it and put other comfort measures in place like a teddy or Comforter ect. Good luck ❤️xx
