Nobody warned me about this....

So I got my first postpartum period on Monday. Now I was a medium-heavy flow before getting pregnant. But my god this period

Blood clots galore (none bigger than a 50p coin), soaking through pads every 3-4hrs, constantly needing to go to the toilet to clean myself up every time I stand up. I've had to throw out knickers and have ruined 3 pyjama bottoms already from getting up in the mornings 😮‍💨

I'm getting proper fed up with it now. Is this normal?

I’d say normal, I remember the first few when I had my first baby were awful so was prepared this time round, my first period was heavy but I’ve just had my second one and it was worse. Can’t wait for them to improve!

I had this a couple weeks ago. I was bleeding through maternity pads every 10 minutes, I got in touch with the doctors as it was insane the amount of blood I was losing. They gave me some tablets to help slow the bleeding down as I was losing too much too fast x

Which do you think?

Have babies back to back! You’re in the trenches already may as well get it all done at once
Get back to “normal-ish” before having another (stop BFing, SLEEP, get back to working etc and then start again)

I hope this makes sense haha

Just for fun 😊

Cramps?

Hi I'm sorry for another one of those 'is this a sign?' Posts 😅
But I'm 40+2 and have been having this really dull heavy ache in the bottom of my belly today it's getting stronger but its the kind of pain that comes but lasts a while and goes and it's not 'contraction'-ey. It's the kind of heavy ache/cramp i get when I'm about to start my period. I've also had a lot more lower backache than usual thats come in waves but I've literally had 0 'signs of labour'. Wondering if anyone had any similar experiences?

Slightly hoping I go to sleep now and wake up having contractions 🤞🏻😂

I’m sad😅

My husband said he had to go somewhere still for a birthday present, got my hopes up thinking he’s going to get a vanity for me… and he brings back sushi! I love sushi so he did good but why do I get my hopes up so much😂😭😭😭

Early labor??

I’ve been having pretty consistent contractions all day. I think their contractions because I can time them and they’re very painful at times. Rn it’s about 4 min apart and they’ve been like that all day. I’m going to the er soon but I don’t want them to tell me it’s been Braxton hicks this whole time. I can’t even sleep and I started to become nauseous towards the end of the day. Any tips for how to navigate this?
