Hello,
I’ve been on the mini pill (Lovima) for 3 months, never missed always taken on time however now I’m bleeding and I’ve been bleeding for 4 weeks straight.
It’s driving me insane and I want it to stop. I contacted GP they’re not interested.
Any advice? Do I argue my case? Or what should I do? I’m overweight trying to lose weight, I don’t know if that affects anything?

Thats awful, I would just stop it and try another contraceptive.
I thought I was bad, bleeding every 3 weeks for 10-12 days. It’s WAY lighter than I used to be before, but I’m going to change it as soon.
Try going to the GP again, ask for another person/second opinion

Is it a lot of blood? I found that when I was on the contraception injection I bled for practically 9 months straight but only filled one pad a day. After that I went on the combined pill and my bleeding stopped. I usually only ever got bleeding when it was time to have my ‘break’ at the 3 month mark. If it’s a lot of blood I would definitely make an appointment but you can also look at other contraceptive options also x

I’m the complete opposite, i haven’t had any bleeding after around 2.5 months on it and it’s been 8 months. Maybe speak with you Dr?

When I went back on the mini pill after having my first, I bled every couple of weeks for a week at a time. After 6 months I decided to have the coil fitted instead. I would completely bypass the GP and go to sexual health if it was me, I've always found them to be much more helpful. I went back on the mini pill again after having my second, I didn't have any bleeding but it made my mood absolutely awful. I ended up having the copper coil fitted in January, and it was honestly the best decision. I'd definitely fight your corner on this though. Look at sexual health clinics instead, the last few times I've switched or needed contraception I've just gone straight to them instead. I hope you manage to get something sorted
