MIL frustration

My MIL is driving me mad I dont agree with her views on how to treat kids, but fine whatever we are different generations and ive accepted and am comfortable with doing things my way etc BUT we are living with her temporarily and my god its driving me insane. Anytime the baby cries she shouts "Oi no crying in this house" or has a go at him for crying, yesterday she was clapping so loud in his face saying "oi enough" like he was a dog. She makes comments about me contact napping like, "hmm but how long can you really do that for" she hates that we let our LO feed himself because of the mess. She constantly has a go at me to utilise her more for child care whilst shes around but then I ask her to hold him and she acts like im taking the mick with how long, shes also so snobby and opinionated, some of the shit that comes out if her mouth is shocking.

The list goes on. But im exausted (like every new mum) and trying to manage our relationship on top of all of the other shit i have to deal with as a mum, is gunna tip me over the edge. and im scared im going to blow up in her face.

Before anyone suggests my partner deals with it, she is like the Matriarch of the family and he would NEVER confront her. Its just not how their family work. (Again not my style but respect every family deals with things differently)

When did contact naps end for you?

When were you able to put your baby in a crib or bassinet for naps without your baby waking up or crying.

Intimacy at 36 weeks

Are people still managing to have sex? The last few times we’ve had sex I’ve felt so much pressure down below that I’ve genuinely feared that I might go into labour. Wondering if it might be time to stop until baby is here? 🤷‍♀️

Overtiredness/over stimulation??

My baby is nearly 10 weeks old and he soothes with feeding or having a bottle in his mouth to sleep. It gets to like 6 or 7pm starts crying that much he gets himself in a state goes sweaty, really red and lots of tears. I try to follow his cues but even getting him to sleep is difficult without the feeding to sleep association any help xx

Going back to work soon and sad

Hi everyone….hoping to get some input and or support from other moms with similar experiences.
I’m a full time working mom and love my job. With my first baby, I went back at 6 weeks and was fine. I was able to cope with it just fine but after having my most recent baby, it feels different.
This birth experience and postpartum was very different compared to the last and I feel maybe that plays a part in this. I hemorrhaged an hour after delivery and coded in front of my husband…I had a second delayed postpartum hemorrhage about a month later and was hospitalized for 3 days. With all of that and finding out my baby had really bad reflux + trying to adjust to having 2 kids instead of one, I ended up getting diagnosed with PPD. I was medicated for a few weeks but the medication gave me such bad anxiety and I was having panic attacks almost every night before bed. My anxiety was focused on going back to work and feeling like no one is going to be able to take care of my baby the way he needs and that I’m neglecting him by going back to work. I stopped the medication because the anxiety made it too hard for me to eat and I would go days without eating. My anxiety got better but my depression came back.
I’m not too sure what my next steps are for managing my PPD yet.
Anyways, I’m going back to work tomorrow as my paid leave is up and unfortunately I cannot take any unpaid time off. Today I find myself being incredibly sad and I’m starting to feel anxious about tomorrow.
Has anyone ever dealt with similar feelings and if so, how did you manage?

Colic

Anyone else in the colic trenches, my little one in seven weeks old and all she does is scream, get wind and fight her naps - it is absolute HELL on earth and it’s draining, she’s so tired that when she does fall asleep it’s for about 4 mins then she wakes up

Tattoos and breastfeeding

I have a one year old that isn’t wanting to let go of BF and i really want a new tattoo. But im worried about ink going into Breast milk.
Did anyone get a tattoo while breastfeeding?
