Returning from holiday

Hi all, we recently have returned from holiday with our 17 month old. We changed his schedule slightly and went back to 2 naps so he could come out to dinner with us and have slightly later evenings which worked great. We have now come back and switched straight back to our normal routine with 1 nap and bed around 7pm. It’s a bit rocky and he’s waking quite early in the mornings.

Anyone else do this kind of thing for their holiday? How long does it take to get back to normal? Would love some advice

Hello
Yes we have done on all holidays we’ve gone on just to make the days/ nights work.
I would say within a week our LG was back to routine so I’d just stick with what you were doing before and hopefully they fall back into it x

We did the same with our boy, he’s always been an early waker but so we haven’t managed to change that but it took about 5 days for him to fully slot back into routine of our home normal

How long has it been? You might also be hitting a slight regression / leap that a lot of us seem to be having around this mark - we had a week of early wakes (5.30am vs 7am norm) which worked itself out within about a week x

When did contact naps end for you?

When were you able to put your baby in a crib or bassinet for naps without your baby waking up or crying.

Intimacy at 36 weeks

Are people still managing to have sex? The last few times we’ve had sex I’ve felt so much pressure down below that I’ve genuinely feared that I might go into labour. Wondering if it might be time to stop until baby is here? 🤷‍♀️

Overtiredness/over stimulation??

My baby is nearly 10 weeks old and he soothes with feeding or having a bottle in his mouth to sleep. It gets to like 6 or 7pm starts crying that much he gets himself in a state goes sweaty, really red and lots of tears. I try to follow his cues but even getting him to sleep is difficult without the feeding to sleep association any help xx

Going back to work soon and sad

Hi everyone….hoping to get some input and or support from other moms with similar experiences.
I’m a full time working mom and love my job. With my first baby, I went back at 6 weeks and was fine. I was able to cope with it just fine but after having my most recent baby, it feels different.
This birth experience and postpartum was very different compared to the last and I feel maybe that plays a part in this. I hemorrhaged an hour after delivery and coded in front of my husband…I had a second delayed postpartum hemorrhage about a month later and was hospitalized for 3 days. With all of that and finding out my baby had really bad reflux + trying to adjust to having 2 kids instead of one, I ended up getting diagnosed with PPD. I was medicated for a few weeks but the medication gave me such bad anxiety and I was having panic attacks almost every night before bed. My anxiety was focused on going back to work and feeling like no one is going to be able to take care of my baby the way he needs and that I’m neglecting him by going back to work. I stopped the medication because the anxiety made it too hard for me to eat and I would go days without eating. My anxiety got better but my depression came back.
I’m not too sure what my next steps are for managing my PPD yet.
Anyways, I’m going back to work tomorrow as my paid leave is up and unfortunately I cannot take any unpaid time off. Today I find myself being incredibly sad and I’m starting to feel anxious about tomorrow.
Has anyone ever dealt with similar feelings and if so, how did you manage?

Colic

Anyone else in the colic trenches, my little one in seven weeks old and all she does is scream, get wind and fight her naps - it is absolute HELL on earth and it’s draining, she’s so tired that when she does fall asleep it’s for about 4 mins then she wakes up
