Hey guys, I’m 27 a FTM and I’m sooo scared. I had to go to L&D today due to high blood pressure and my feet and hands have been swelling I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and according to my dr baby is ready and in position I’m not sure if I’m dilating as of yet he didn’t check my cervix today. Also I’ve been gaining weight like crazy he said it could be fluid retention but my goodness I’m passed 40lb and I’m trying not to stress to not make it worst but idk what to do. Anyone ever experienced high blood pressure during their pregnancy.

Yes I had high blood pressure and doc took baby at 37 weeks

Yup, had high blood pressure and had my baby at 36 weeks. Went in for my weekly NST and the protein in my urine was wayyyy high and so was my blood pressure… I also happed to be 3 cm dilated so they kept me and I got induced that night. Initially the process was scary because I was not ready to have my baby but the process was smooth and everything went well for the most part.

I had high blood pressure/ preeclampsia… baby is amazing!!! ♥️ but yeah they made me give birth early

Yes. I had preeclampsia and had to have a cesarean at 33 weeks. The good news is your baby is not too early! You got this mama!

I was so bloated and dealing with high blood pressure during the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy. I lost about 20 pounds almost immediately after my daughter was born at 38 weeks! I'm pretty sure it was her 6 pounds, 4 ounces plus gallons of water retention. Try not to sweat it and find a fun distraction, like a show or a book. It definitely sounds like your baby is getting ready to make their arrival.
