So, my sons nursery has told us to get my 13 month old son checked out as thry've noticed his foot keeps turning inwards quite a bit when they're changing him. I just thought he wss playing with his feet really. There's no pain or anything. I've spoken to HV and made a doc appt anyway to check.
Anyway, this morning I was talking to my mam and she said that they took me to the doctors quite a lot when I was younger (I vaguely remember). I would cry in pain and say my knees would ache and she said I would say my bones hurt. The doctors kept saying it wss growing pains and to cut back on sport - I remember them saying this because my Dad was annoyed they'd said that to a young girl
I can also turn my feet inward so they are horizontal , if that makes sense, and pull my thumbs down to my wrist. I'm wondering if I could be the problem?
Is it hypermobility ? Is anyone diagnosed with this that can give more info?

So I have hypermobility. (Diagnosed as an adult actually...like within the last 5 years...) they have a list of 9 criteria they look for to diagnose. (Not sure how they would diagnose an infant or toddler, they might tell you it's too early to diagnose).
Thank you - I don't know if he has... I'm just not sure if it's worth mentioning my party tricks or that he'll think I'm an idiot 🤣🤣 cos it can be hereditary, right?
I was more surprised cos I remember going to docs once but she was like yeh we went quite a bit from the ages like 7-14 and you'd cry about the pain. And my knees always clicked and they still do
