Hello! I would strongly recommend going to your GP and asking them to prescribe you with anti-sickness medication. I wasn’t sick once in my pregnancy but was nauseous the first trimester and the only thing that helped me was the anti-sickness
Meds!

I was on meds from my gp with my first baby and was given xonvea which helped massively! But now I’m pregnant again and Ive been taking Boots own brand Bump & Beyond Queasy Relief tablets and they’ve been a lifesaver!!! Try those if you can’t really wait until u see a dr x

I had this in my first trimester really bad was nauseous from the minute I woke up to the minute I went to bed. The thing that helped me the most was eating little and often. From the minute I woke up to the minute I went to bed. Fruit was one that I enjoyed as something to get in me as it was just easy to grab like a couple of grapes or an apple/ banana etc. I hopefully this helps

I had nausea and vomiting until the day I gave birth to my baby, I just made sure I stayed extra hydrated and just ate little bits of what I fancied I didn’t try to force myself to eat anything I didn’t want to eat if that makes sense? I hope you’re feeling better soon xx

This was by far the worst part of pregnancy for me , I was signed off work for 2 weeks and prescribed anti sickness which helped slightly.

Ginger tea (when I could stomach it)
Polo mints
Ice pops

Those were the only things that helped me it does get better mine eased off around 15/16 weeks. I lost 9lb in the first trimester I remember just being really hungry but literally everything smelt disgusting and repulsed me 😭🤢

I now have a thriving 18 month old it’s all worth it in the end xx

There was about 3 months when I couldn't eat anything but cold fruit. Those trays of pre cut melon and mango were all I wanted. Grapes and watermelon are also good. Something about it being a bit hydrating and really cold so I couldn't smell it!
Even remembering the feeling makes me feel dizzy. Sending love! 🥭🍉🍈

C section and hospital stay in uk

Hello!
Looking for stories from mothers who had c sections before.
I have my C section booked (due to 2 health risks).
What will it be like? How many nights did you have to stay in the hospital? What was the whole experience like?
My husband and i are trying to figure out if he should take days off from work. But i believe there is no need if me and the baby will be there for observation? He thinks the baby will be with me in the room all the time and he would have to help me with the baby. Where as i think the baby will be kept in the nursery (but i do hope he would actually stay with me in the room) and the nurses would be around to help when needed, therefore there wouldn't be a need for him to be with me at the hospital continuously. He also thinks he would have to stay with me there overnight 🙈
1st time staying in a hospital in uk too 🙈. This is all very new for us.

12 week scan unexpected surprise!

So I was expecting a normal scan with it, bringing my third baby turns out not to be the case as I am pregnant with twins.

I am so excited and ngl still in shock, but the scan went well they're both measuring as they should, and no concerns whatsoever they were just really happy for me and my partner and I'm due on the 29th instead of the 30th so I am now 12 weeks and 2 days measuring.

So unexpected surprise but couldn't be more blessed to be a mother to twins 💙🩷

Anyone had a 6 week ultrasound with gestational sac measuring 6mm with no yolk sac visible?
Did you have good news 2 weeks later at the rescan or bad news?

Pregnant again 🫣

Our little one has just turned three months and we’ve just found out we’re pregnant again (maybe around 4 weeks but haven’t had my period return since giving birth so difficult to say)

We also have a 3 year old. We’re obviously in shock but leaning towards keeping the baby so I was wondering if anybody has experience of such a close age gap?

I have just asked my midwife for a c section at my 36 week appointment and she said she will sort out for the hospital to ring me. How long after this appointment has the hospital phoned ladies.
