Leaking Nappy

My 6 week old is 4kg and moved into size 2 nappies this week. Every night this week her nappy has leaked regardless of size or brand (Aldi and Pampers sizes 1 and 2). We are lucky what she is a good sleeper so get the length of time between changes will be having an impact. But any suggestions on how to stop her waking up covered in her own mess? 😬

Is it leaking out of the sides? I noticed when I went to size 2 I had to put my finger around the leg and make sure the nappy was fitted properly there / so the elastic bit is on correctly. Maybe see if that helps? x

When our nappies leaked this way it meant we needed to size up. You’ll find a size 2 isn’t very absorbent because babies of that age are usually changed very regularly as babies wake very frequently so if baby is sleeping well that could be your issue. Also make sure the vest is big enough to allow the nappy to expand x

Bath time

Please don’t judge me! I bath my baby 3 times a week. Now that the summer is here I would like to bath him every night. My problem is on Sunday I don’t come home until 7:45 which is after his bedtime and my husband would be with him and Wednesday to Friday my husband comes at 9:30 pm. My problem is that my baby 5 and half months now learned to arch his back to get off things if he wants to be picked up. A couple of weeks ago I got so scared bathing him because he slipped off the bath seat I caught him but I had to jump in the bath with him to finish bathing him because I was too scared he will arch his back and slip in the water and you know. Since then I don’t bath him alone. Could you guys please tell me what should I do to be able to bath him alone ? I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
This is the bath seat I have now.

Bedtime blues

My daughter is 10 months old and every bed time I get filled with dread. She goes to sleep and without fail will wake 45mins-1 hour. It can then take up to an hour to transition her into her cot, yesterday I resettled her 5 times in 90 minutes. I’m exhausted. I’ve tried different sleeping sacks, making sure she’s not too hot/cold, earlier bed times, later bed times. It gets to a point I’m exhausted, go to bed at 9pm and when she wakes again (usually around 10) I just cosleep. I feel like I’m failing. Help.

Breastfeeding

Those that breastfeed are you pumping and taking a bottle out with you or are you wacking your boob out in public? Do you cover up or choose not to?

Concerned with nursery

My lo had his 2nd day at nursery today and I am already really concerned about a few things. Yesterday they fed him a bottle 2hrs before his usual time despite me saying not to feed him as I would later on. Today they ignored his usual nap times and tried to put him down later completely ignoring any routine we loosely suggested. I’ve gone onto his account tonight and have now discovered they’ve been feeding him snacks even though we have not given permission for him to have these as he brings his own packed lunch and is still formula fed. Yesterday all 5 of his nappies were used but he only had 2 nappy changes. Both days I’ve had to collect him early so that he could come home and sleep as he just isn’t able to sleep whilst there. After all of these things I just don’t feel I can trust them and don’t want to send him back next week especially if he isn’t having any daytime sleep. But I’ve just gone back to work and all other nurseries or childminders are fully booked so I don’t know what to do other than say to work I can’t return until I’ve sorted him somewhere else or drop to half a day

What age do you think kids should start only showering with the parent of the same sex.

I have a 2 year old son and am not sure when to tell his dad he needs to take over shower time. We don’t have a bathtub so whoever bathes him is going to get wet too. Also my husband runs around naked all the time. Is this an issue? What age would it become an issue? Is it different for boys and girls since boys see other men’s genitals at the urinal or when peeing outside anyways?
I’m a newer boy mom and don’t have a dad or brother to ask. Thanks mommas.
