My lo had his 2nd day at nursery today and I am already really concerned about a few things. Yesterday they fed him a bottle 2hrs before his usual time despite me saying not to feed him as I would later on. Today they ignored his usual nap times and tried to put him down later completely ignoring any routine we loosely suggested. I’ve gone onto his account tonight and have now discovered they’ve been feeding him snacks even though we have not given permission for him to have these as he brings his own packed lunch and is still formula fed. Yesterday all 5 of his nappies were used but he only had 2 nappy changes. Both days I’ve had to collect him early so that he could come home and sleep as he just isn’t able to sleep whilst there. After all of these things I just don’t feel I can trust them and don’t want to send him back next week especially if he isn’t having any daytime sleep. But I’ve just gone back to work and all other nurseries or childminders are fully booked so I don’t know what to do other than say to work I can’t return until I’ve sorted him somewhere else or drop to half a day

I'd contact them and talk about it. Nappies go missing, that's standard. They usually have a drawer for each child each day so they probably have the rest of his still in the drawer just didn't put them back in his bag. Sleep is often different/a challenge/non existent especially at first, at the end of the day it's a new environment and there will be some adjustment. It's nearly impossible to maintain the same routine as at home because there isn't one to one care. Idk about the snack thing, we don't send food in. But again I'd talk about it. They shouldn't ignore food preferences, it's bad practice in case of allegens. I'd call rather than talk to the person doing the handover. Or ask if you can come in for a chat. Did they call you to pick him up or you went because you saw he hadn't napped? How old is he? Did he have settling days? I know it's really hard, but it does take time to adjust. I'd talk about concerns, make a plan for going forward, and give it more than two days before making rash decisions.

I was in completely the same boat with the naps and bottles, she was on two naps a day but were just giving her the one at lunch time as they said she was happy and not showing tired cues!but i had to make them aware my child doesn’t show sleepy cues she has been very routine based and I stated I wanted the two and the did that there often is 30 minutes either side she will go down half hour before normal time pr after. I think you will get used to naps will just get to as a when my baby had a great routine with naps but days she will nap in the morning then refuse the afternoon nap, have just one long nap in the afternoon or sometimes refuses all naps honestly it is different every day! If she has one nap and refuses the second I accept that now and do early bedtime and have dinner ready as soon as shes home.
I think definitely voice your concerns with their key child and they will respect and always atle
