Can't/won't self settle for naps

I'm struggling so much - my daughter is 1 in less than 2 weeks & she will not self soothe to sleep. I absolutely dread nap times because I either have to drive her in the car or walk her in the pram. She never sleeps in the cot, will just scream the house down. I manged to get 2 cot naps but I had to rock her to sleep 😭
I just want to be able to put her down for a nap so I can have a little bit of time to myself.

I'm currently doing day and night on my own as my partner is a farmer so his out from crack of dawn till 1am most days 😭 Bedtime is just as bad tbh - feed & cuddle to sleep which can take up to an hour 😔

Anyone else struggling with this? Or is everyone else winning at being a mam because right now I feel like a FAILURE 😭😭😭

My little one doesnt self settle, never has. I rock her to sleep for every nap.
Does she transfer after rocking? I just do that 🤣

I'm no expert by any means but that seems a long time to have to rock them. Have you tried longer time awake between each nap?
My little one has always needed bigger wake windows than they say are "developmentally appropriate". You could be in the same boat!

Shes on 2 naps but her wake windows are all 4 hours long.
2 x 1 hour naps
Then sleeps 9pm-7am. Shes low sleep needs i think so only 12 hours in a 24 hour period

Leftover medication

When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes. I was only able to get a box of 5 insulin pens at a time on prescription and therefore have 3 full and completely unused pens (no needles) left with a date for use in 2028. They’ve all been properly stored in the fridge.

Seems a shame to bin them yet impossible to pass them on to anyone and pharmacies etc won’t take them. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do with them or do they just have to go in the bin?

3h first nap

Anyone else’s 4 month old sleeping for 3 hours in their first nap? I don’t wanna wake her but online it says you should only let them have 2 hours per nap, she goes to bed at 9 every night with no problems and wakes up at 6:30 - 7 every morning, only had one issue last night with her having a small kick off and going bed at 9:30 and waking up at 5:30 this morning so ok starting to think it could be a problem, should I wake her? Thank youse

When did you come on your period postpartum?

How long did it take for you to get periods back?

With my first, I didn't have a period for 6 months and was breastfeeding. This time round I'm 8 weeks postpartum, breastfeeding and I've come on my period. 😕

Is anyone having sex yet?

I’m currently around 4.5weeks pp and considering it but I’m just nervous about whether my tear would’ve healed enough yet, it was only a second degree and my bleedings stopped so I’m not concerned about infection but i just don’t know x
