Speaking

What stages are people’s babies at with speaking?
My boy barely babbles…he mostly whinges, squeals & laughs but not really any ba-ba or ga-ga let alone saying anything like mama or dada..

Just worried we might have an issue?

I have been wondering the same… my baby is 9 months and he does things yours does, I’m so excited for him to start babbling/speaking more but I have also been wandering if it’s an issue

Does your baby make eye contact when you are talking to them? Do they respond to sounds like turning their head towards where the sound is coming from? Do they respond to their name at all?

My daughter is 9 months and is babbling and making sounds like mamama or dadada.

If you are worried you can reach out to your health visitor? I know that all babies are different and some take more time then others. My daughter is still struggling to sit unaided at the moment and I was worried but my health visitor eased my worries saying to give it time xx

Episiotomy

Ladies who have had an episiotomy, how long afterwards did we shave/trim?

Leftover medication

When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes. I was only able to get a box of 5 insulin pens at a time on prescription and therefore have 3 full and completely unused pens (no needles) left with a date for use in 2028. They’ve all been properly stored in the fridge.

Seems a shame to bin them yet impossible to pass them on to anyone and pharmacies etc won’t take them. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do with them or do they just have to go in the bin?

3h first nap

Anyone else’s 4 month old sleeping for 3 hours in their first nap? I don’t wanna wake her but online it says you should only let them have 2 hours per nap, she goes to bed at 9 every night with no problems and wakes up at 6:30 - 7 every morning, only had one issue last night with her having a small kick off and going bed at 9:30 and waking up at 5:30 this morning so ok starting to think it could be a problem, should I wake her? Thank youse

When did you come on your period postpartum?

How long did it take for you to get periods back?

With my first, I didn't have a period for 6 months and was breastfeeding. This time round I'm 8 weeks postpartum, breastfeeding and I've come on my period. 😕

Is anyone having sex yet?

I’m currently around 4.5weeks pp and considering it but I’m just nervous about whether my tear would’ve healed enough yet, it was only a second degree and my bleedings stopped so I’m not concerned about infection but i just don’t know x
