Very serious for recovery. Please don’t push your body before it’s ready. Especially since it was a c section, there’s much higher risks.
The 6 week rule is there to make sure your body can heal without interference.

Hygiene

I saw someone on here say they wash their children once a week… the ages are 6 years old and 9 months and I was just very much shocked 😭 is this normal in some cultures?

3h first nap

Anyone else’s 4 month old sleeping for 3 hours in their first nap? I don’t wanna wake her but online it says you should only let them have 2 hours per nap, she goes to bed at 9 every night with no problems and wakes up at 6:30 - 7 every morning, only had one issue last night with her having a small kick off and going bed at 9:30 and waking up at 5:30 this morning so ok starting to think it could be a problem, should I wake her? Thank youse

Is anyone having sex yet?

I’m currently around 4.5weeks pp and considering it but I’m just nervous about whether my tear would’ve healed enough yet, it was only a second degree and my bleedings stopped so I’m not concerned about infection but i just don’t know x

Bed time with 2 kids

I need some help on how I put my 7 month old and my 2 year old to bed

I can't leave one of them without hearibv crying and noise iv just had enough the baby is so loud just fussing and crying even when I close the door I still hear him and it triggers me

The 2 year old if I leave him shouts and screams then stops the baby from going to sleep I try put them to bed one at 7pm and the other at 8pm

Bad baby

Anyone has an abusive little one. My 7month old loves to kick people in the face, slap, pinch, scratch. He has even punched his uncle in the eye a few times. Oh and don't wear a wig or bonnet around him. He also loves to pull facial hair.

I'm not really complaining I just find it hilarious

Edit: I'm aware it's not actually abuse but rather curiousity and exploration.

Feel like sometimes people forget babies are MEANT to be babies…

Insist on them sleeping alone before ready
Expect them to be able to self soothe
Expect them not to be “clingy”
Expect them to sleep through, or if they do for it then to do it every night
Expect them to sometimes not just cry for what may seem like no reason

More controversial one but appreciate sometimes medically necessary - Eat solid food at 4 months.

Normal infant needs and behaviours are not flaws or issues that need fixing. More of a reality check post for any mums out there that think they’re doing something wrong because your baby is just acting like a baby.

But some of you do need to remember babies aren’t mini adults 🥴
