Do you wish you realised when you had a 2nd child that family don’t like to look after both?

One no one talks about or none of these family members warned us about lol!

Both my family and in laws are so ‘woah wait’ when it comes to looking after both the kids. Don’t assume we palm them off our instances have been for medical appointments etc.

I just saw a woman pregnant with her 3rd like I’ve lost my village because she has 3 and again no one will look after more than 1 of the kids.

Do you think people who put their children in nursery/with nanny full time Mon-Fri are selfish?

Most times parents who both work full time have to leave their children with someone else.

What do you think of this? Do you think it’s selfish for them to add another?

The audacity of some people...

Apparently I should put my baby in nursery so he stops being afraid of strangers.

For context, I’m a SAHM right now because nursery is insanely expensive, and my May baby is too young for nursery, in my opinion. Where I grew up, parents can stay at home with their babies for up to three years if they want to.

My baby gets afraid when strangers get too close or try to touch him, which I hate btw. I always tell people not to touch him, or I’ll politely say he’s shy with new people.

And yet I’ve now been told twice in the past few days that nursery would “fix” this.

So I should spend a fortune, separate from my baby before we’re ready, just so he tolerates strangers touching him… wtf?!

Just needed to get this out.

Is this for real life?

Am I seeing things or is that a vvfl? Pregmate test on CD32. My cycles are usually 29-31 days. Not exactly FMU, as I tested in the morning and peed once when toddler woke me up in the middle of the night. I didn’t seriously think I could be pregnant, as I’m 40 and I don’t remember when we had sex last month, so I didn’t want to waste an expensive frer test 🤣! Would frer be accurate in the middle of the day this early? If I really am pregnant, I hope I didn’t screw it up by moving boxes up a flight of stairs all day yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️

6 donor embryo failures

I had a baby a couple of years or so ago, first try, no drama. We tried assisted fertility right away due to me being early 40s and the advice of the fertility clinic. We tried for two years and nothing so we took the advice to move to donor eggs. We are on our 3rd donor. I’ve had 6 transfers which includes 1 blighted ovum, 1 miscarriage at 4+6wks and four failure. One of the failures is with a new donor and our first grade A we’ve ever got from donors. We paid for a larger cohort of eggs to get better than a grade B this time. It still failed. We’ve spent about £25k plus travel / accommodation etc overseas almost every month. I’m not working as a result of being away all the time.

I’ve just had an endometrium biopsy to see if I’ve picked up endometriosis bacterial due to miscarriage. I’ve also just paid for immunology blood tests. But what does it end? I obviously want answers - do I need more tests? Is it bad luck? The accumulative success rate is supportive be 98% after 4 transfers. I can’t believe I’m still in this fertility hole. Do I give up? Do I ask for something new? Can anyone help.., please? 🙏🏽

Positive or negative?

This come up within the time frame but now test has dried there’s nothing there. The other photos I have you can’t see it as well as in this one. My period is due tomorrow but I am currently EBF so my cycles all over the place.

GTT test / c section

I am currently 23+5 and I had a GTT test at 17weeks and that was negative however I now need another one and I’m so stressed that this one will be positive 😬

I have spoken to my consultant today and he has said that if it is positive I will be induced at 37 weeks so that will
Make my chances of a c section higher and I really do not want another one!!

Has anyone else had a GTT positive in a previous pregnancy but not in this one?
