C-section recovery

How are we all doing? I had a planned section this time, after having an emergency one 3.5 years ago and I don’t know what I was expecting but I thought it would be easier this time. Safe to say it has not been easy!

I’ve struggled a lot more this time .
I had an emergency C-section 3 years ago then planned this time but this time I was cut hip to hip and my god has it been sore . I had read that a second C-section is a harder recovery because of the scar tissue but because of the extra stretching and needing to be cut wider this time I feel like the pain is never ending

I had alot more pain for the first few days due to it being my second. I also had my tubes tied, but found after a few days it was wasnt too bad.

I am first time c-section 9 days pp, and Im not really in pain, more mild discomfort every now and then when I twist the wrong way. I thought it would be much worse. Probably moving/doing too much because its so surprisingly ok.

Just curious if the c-section pants and silicone strips are worth getting? Any experiences?

Men sneezing

This has happened a few times now... Put baby down, husband does a huge sneeze, back at square 1. He says he can't help it, but most of us women aren't sneezing like bloody elephants. Do you think people are able to control the volume of their sneezing? Vote below!

Any other babies quieter?

It’s super hot and I’m trying to stay hydrated. I’ve felt baby move today but not as much as normal. Anyone else?

29 week scan

So we had an extra scan today because of my BMI being high.
They told us she has hair!! I can’t quite figure it out from these pictures, any ideas? I have googled what hair on an ultrasound looks like and I’m not sure you can really see it from the angle of these pictures. I think they may have seen it when they were doing the checks haha

Bowel movements - 5 days after c section

I have no strength in my belly to push out any wind or to push for a poo 5 days after a c section. Did anyone else ever have this?

I did go day 3, but it was loose as i took laxatives and it happened on its own, I couldn’t push or stop it just happened.

I tried talking to midwives today about it as I can feel that I need to go, or pass wind but genuinely can’t as I just can’t push it out, it’s like numb. They didn’t do anything though but I’m so worried as I just want to have normal feeling. I’ve never heard of this before?!
