Alright, I need advice for my 6 month old. What do we do when our babies give all the sleepy ques and yet when you try to get them down for a nap nothing works?
I do a naptime song every time we are getting ready for a nap, nurse (which sometimes gets them to sleep), but when I put them down to sleep they start fussing, when I try rocking no matter what way I hold them is correct, I try just laying with them and this doesn't help either cause they just start crying.
I know they are trying to crawl right now and that makes sleep and naps super funky. I don't want to cry it out either. But omg this drives me bonkers and gets me sooo frustrated cause like idk how to help you go to sleep!šµāš«š«

If youāre okay with screen time Iād really recommend YouTube. They have some baby low-stimulation sensory videos of fish that has lullaby music over the top of it. I used these during the last heatwave in the UK, because it was just too hot to hold her to sleep all the time, and honestly it worked like a charm. Took a bit of resistance the first day, refusing to pick her up unless she was crying (and then putting her back down as soon as she settled) but eventually she got the hang of it x

I would check for teething.
Sometimes they need lots of help to fall asleep but it is also possible that something is missing; some more sensory experience for example, more transition and cuddles (maybe a walk through the apartment).
Does it fall asleep independently sometimes? Important is to be consistent when you want to establish something new⦠but your post is mixed it seems with current situation and overall sleep?
Babies cannot self soothe, that only comes at age 3 or later when the part of the brain is developed. Some babies, very few, can self settle = from super relaxed to sleeping. Not from upset to sleeping
Tv will definitely not solve the problem. Just dont.

What sleepy cues does baby show?

White noise or a walk in the pram?
