Birth Plan

I’ve got gestational diabetes, baby has consistently been measuring in the 94-99 percentile and now they’ve found that I’ve also got elevated levels of placental fluid.

Has anyone been in a similar position? How did you go about your birth plan? Should I try to give birth naturally and wait as long as possible for baby to come? Elect for induction? Or, c-section?

I worry about the epidural, hormone drip if I got induced and assisted delivery. All things I’d like to avoid.

How did you decide and what was guiding your decision making process? Has anyone been in a similar position?

With gestational diabetes, induction is usually aimed for by 39 weeks. I’m scheduled for induction and the doctors explained that a natural birth at 39 weeks is much easier. They also mentioned that if we wait until 40 weeks the baby might be too large for a natural birth and I could need an emergency caesarean section.

I'm not having an Epidural unless I HAVE to, I'm planning on using a tens machine, gas n air and a birthing pool for pain relief.

My husband has been very supportive with my decisions and the doctors know what they're doing so I'm definitely taking their advice into account

I’m finally 6 weeks postpartum today!

Today I am officially 6 weeks postpartum. I had a c section so it’s definitely been a long road. Anyone who’s had c sections before how do I go about having my first bath? My gp checkup isn’t for another 2 weeks but I’m desperate to have a bath and don’t want to wait if I don’t have to. Any advice?

Diarrhoea & vomiting

I’m 36w + 1d and I’ve just had vomiting and a bout of diarrhoea. This is my third pregnancy and I never had any vomiting with the other two just diarrhoea a couple of weeks before delivery. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if I’m coming down with gastro?
