Should I be cross?

I went in for RFM on Monday and the registrar requested an urgent scan (my last one was 2 weeks previous) but she wanted it repeated as it was my second episode. This referral was rejected.

I had an appointment with the consultant to discuss delivery yesterday and she also requested an urgent scan as she said the first referral should have been done. I got a call this morning to say it wouldn’t meet threshold for being accepted and she said there was no point in putting the referral in. I argued that even if it was guaranteed to be rejected, I wanted it submitted so it was on my record. Within 10 minutes of this, I got a call from ultrasound with an appointment tomorrow. I am furious at their attitude but not sure if I’m just hormonal and hot!

I'd be just as furious. If a medical professional is in the belief that you need a scab - you do. The only thing I'm a bit curious about is, this happened to me but they were able to atleast do a quick scan at triage to ease themselves and me x

I went in yesterday with it and only me and one other women on the ward. The midwife said to me unfortunately there was no more emergency scans that day as the lady before me took the last one (absolutely fine!) my baby’s heart rate was going up to 200 so they wanted me to have emergency scan within next 48 hours. I rang and rang saying no appointment has come through and my scan is Tuesday (6 days later!) Absolutely livid to say the least

Elective C Sections

Anyone else due in August planning an elective csection? I just had an appointment with the csection specialist to make sure I was making an informed decison. While she said I won't get a date booked in until around week 36/37, she said its likely it will be the 18th, 19th or 20th August. I'm due the 21st! That shocked me a bit as I assumed it wouls be the week before (10th to 14th). Worries about going into labour naturally before then 😬 Anyone else in similar boat? Or do your hospitals do them earlier? She said they follow the WHO guidance and won't take babies out before rhe 39th week.

Anyones child been referred to hospital specialist over clicky hips?

My little girl is 4 weeks old, when she was being checked over at birth, the nurse said she had quite clicky hips and that it should be checked to be on the safe side. I've received the referral letter but I was wondering if anyone else has been through it?

Just wondering what to expect x

Thank you

Driving after c-section

When do you plan to drive again?

I read it’s recommended to wait 4-6 weeks. I’m 4 weeks PP on Monday and feel ready to drive again. I waited 6 weeks with my first but I’m demented without my car plus a toddler!
