38+2 week growth scan

So I went to my normal routine 38 week midwife appointment today and said my bump was still measuring the same as 36 weeks. They are sending me for a growth scan this afternoon. They did however say that he was 2/5 engaged. Has anyone had this and is it something to worry about or can i not be measuring the same as he has dropped abit???

if they measured via a tape measure i wouldn’t hold much faith. my midwife sent me for an emergency growth scan saying she was measuring 4 weeks smaller and had not grown at all since my last check up - went in for a scan the same day and she had grown and was measuring average percentile

so try not to panic until you get sent in because the tape measure is soooo inaccurate. i was checked 3 times in one day at 38 weeks, 1 midwife measured me at 40, one measured me at 38 and the other at 36 - even the midwife’s will say it’s not accurate especially if they’re really low down like yours is

hopefully they will get you in asap and then it’ll give you some relief x

Elective C Sections

Anyone else due in August planning an elective csection? I just had an appointment with the csection specialist to make sure I was making an informed decison. While she said I won't get a date booked in until around week 36/37, she said its likely it will be the 18th, 19th or 20th August. I'm due the 21st! That shocked me a bit as I assumed it wouls be the week before (10th to 14th). Worries about going into labour naturally before then 😬 Anyone else in similar boat? Or do your hospitals do them earlier? She said they follow the WHO guidance and won't take babies out before rhe 39th week.

Anyones child been referred to hospital specialist over clicky hips?

My little girl is 4 weeks old, when she was being checked over at birth, the nurse said she had quite clicky hips and that it should be checked to be on the safe side. I've received the referral letter but I was wondering if anyone else has been through it?

Just wondering what to expect x

Thank you

Driving after c-section

When do you plan to drive again?

I read it’s recommended to wait 4-6 weeks. I’m 4 weeks PP on Monday and feel ready to drive again. I waited 6 weeks with my first but I’m demented without my car plus a toddler!
