Induction or planned C section

Baby is measuring on the 4.6th percentile. I have another growth scan tomorrow, with the potential of being induced.
I’m now considering if an elective c section would be better. But the thought of both makes me scared.
Has anyone else been in this position? Would a c section be a better experience than an induction?

I’m in similar boat and there’s been a thread already about this… seems to be a common thing atm which is strange. I wouldn’t suggest a c-section as a better option in my opinion the recovery can be longer. I find out tomorrows growth scan if dipped again they spoke of induction at 39 weeks when I was 37 weeks and now I’m 39 weeks I’m not looking forward to it! But I will refuse it if baby is healthy

I wouldn’t listen to the centiles personally, all throughout my second pregnancy baby was measuring small, lowest centile was -3, I went to term and laboured naturally (did end in a section by choice) and she was born on the 28th centile, even bigger than my first. We went through so many tests and worry, I know it doesn’t always work out but just do what you think is best x

There are some good doula accounts on Instagram who talk about the issue with growth scans and unnecessary intervention. If I was in your position I'd seek some advice on it as waiting could be the best option but there is often a lot of pressure to hurry things along and when we think it is needed to keep baby safe we go along with it x

Well everyone my baby boy is here at 27+1 weighing 2lb 7oz. Waters broke last week and I developed sepsis so they got him out very quickly.

Elective C Sections

Anyone else due in August planning an elective csection? I just had an appointment with the csection specialist to make sure I was making an informed decison. While she said I won't get a date booked in until around week 36/37, she said its likely it will be the 18th, 19th or 20th August. I'm due the 21st! That shocked me a bit as I assumed it wouls be the week before (10th to 14th). Worries about going into labour naturally before then 😬 Anyone else in similar boat? Or do your hospitals do them earlier? She said they follow the WHO guidance and won't take babies out before rhe 39th week.

Labour ?

I’m 39 weeks, and all day I have been in severe pain mainly when I stand up, and constant lighting crotch, tmi diarrhoea and been losing excessive mucus plug over the last 2 days.

The other day I had mild contractions for nearly an hour 9mins break in between 40 second contractions.

I’m not getting intervals it’s constant and waters haven’t broke. Am I in labour or does anyone else know what could be happening ?

I had a sweep on Monday, and get induced this Saturday.

Anyones child been referred to hospital specialist over clicky hips?

My little girl is 4 weeks old, when she was being checked over at birth, the nurse said she had quite clicky hips and that it should be checked to be on the safe side. I've received the referral letter but I was wondering if anyone else has been through it?

Just wondering what to expect x

Thank you

Driving after c-section

When do you plan to drive again?

I read it’s recommended to wait 4-6 weeks. I’m 4 weeks PP on Monday and feel ready to drive again. I waited 6 weeks with my first but I’m demented without my car plus a toddler!
