Last names you love?

Not a specific last name idea, but my spouse and I decided to make our own last name when we got married by choosing something important to us, choosing a symbol that represented that something important, then translating that into my ancestral language. It was a very empowering process. My MIL did something similar and designed a last name that embodies how she chooses to show up in life after splitting from her ex instead of going back to her maiden name. Could be worth exploring something along those lines, espeically if you are trying to build something new from the ground up.

My uncle changed his last name to Cross when he got married. And when he signs his name he ends his signature with an X. Always thought it was the coolest thing. I like a lot of other names too though but this was the first example that came to mind
