I had my 20 week scan today and my little boy is measuring smaller in the 25th percentile, they said his legs are shorter then normal only by a small bit. Everything else was perfectly fine has anyone else experienced this?

It just means that 24 out of 100 babies are smaller than him and 75 out of 100 babies are bigger than him at the same gestation 😊
Babies come in all shapes and sizes nothing to worry about x

Scans aren’t always very accurate. My boy measured 6th percentile, then 12, then 25, then 12 again.
He was born 6th percentile however was early.
25th percentile isn’t worrying! It’s anything below 10 I believe they monitor closely.

My baby was 25th the whole time xx she was 6lb6 at 39+2 xx

🚨This isnt meant as a horror story!!🚨
My boy was measuring in the 1st centile, I got diagnosed with preeclampsia at 27 weeks which explained why he was measuring (ALOT) smaller, so maybe get a blood pressure machine for home and check daily (I had absolutely no symptoms other than high blood pressure and protein in my wee) you should be looking at 120/80 --- we also did a NIPT test to check for further genetic conditions which came back negative
THAT BEING SAID:
All babies come in different sizes, someone has to be smallest and someone has to be the biggest! I hope you're okay 💙

Just talking from my own personal experience, no medical background. I personally wouldn’t 100% trust those. My baby boy was apparently measuring big throughout my pregnancy but was born at 40+3 weighing 7lbs 4oz which is roughly 25th percentile. This isn’t to say your baby isn’t measuring small but try not to overthink as they’re just estimates xx

I wouldn’t trust it, my eldest measured for short legs and he’s been on the 95th centile since he was born and is the tallest in his class wearing age 6-8 clothes at just turned 5.

Adding to mine - the nurses in the nicu all said his legs were in proportion when we were told from 20 weeks his arms and legs were measuring short!
