Sleep advise

I'm posting in incognito just incase of keyboard warriors.

But my little one is only 5 days old. She will sleep on me/ dad no issues. Same in the car seat and flat on the sofa.

However she is refusing to settle in a moses basket. Last night's sleep was horrendous for both me and dad. And I gotta deal with a toddler on top of this.

Any advise would be appreciated.
Is it worth getting a next to me cot instead ?? Help

Is it one of those crunchy woven moses baskets? Or does it wobble etc? We had one like that with my first and he never got on with it so it quickly got given away. The next to me worked brilliantly though for night sleep

My first never ever went in a crib or cot either, the next to me was the same. Cried instantly as soon as put down and never settled. Ended up co-sleeping as no other choice and partner got banished to the other room. It was a life saver. As long as you follow the safe co-sleeping advice, it’s the only thing that works with some babies

My second is 2 weeks now and also seems to be a Velcro baby so just went straight to co-sleeping rather than the agony of trying for weeks to separate her into a crib. When you have a toddler as well just need any scrap of rest you can possibly get!

My 10 day old was the same, we put rolled up towels beneath the sheets in the crib and baskrt to make it snuggly and cocoony, it's against guidelines so at your own risk, but meant she got used to those places, and last night she slept in the next to me without, so hoping it was just helpful to get her used to it

Baby gifts what to do when you don't like them?

So I've been given alot of random things for myself and the baby which is very kind. From perinatal massage oil?? To percy pig books and so many soft toys. I don't like percy the pig, I much prefer beautiful illustrations and lovely stories like Peter rabbit of the gruffalo. Equally there are too many soft toys that now take up too much space. Can I get rid of some of this stuff or would the giver ask where is this soft toy?

Window open

Is okay or no to sleep with the window open at night with my 4 week baby in the room? The room temperature is almost 30 degrees, I can barely breathe 🤦🏻‍♀️

Feeling insecure

Anyone else got/had a body that won't shift the weight whilst breastfeeding without impacting supply? I was going to the gym and eating less and vegan losing weight but my supply just tanked. I'm feeling so gross and wobbly 😔 I've stopped going to the gym and just do some bodyweight exercises when I can, but it's not regular. So many people have said that the weight will drop off when I stop breastfeeding but equally, they said that would happen when I started breastfeeding 😆 I also don't know how to fit exercise in around parenting, now that I've gone back to work, even without the supply issues.

Air con temperature on holiday

We are going on holiday tomorrow, what temperature should I keep inside our room for baby to sleep comfortably for naps and nighttime ? I mean, we rode out this hell of a week with the heat so I’m sure even 25 degree she will appreciate🤣 last night there were 33 degrees in her room !
