HV pre-birth appointment

Has anyone declined a pre-birth appointment from the HV? I have a nearly 3 year old and currently 31W pregnant with my second. However, I’ve just had a letter through the post about a pre-birth home visit which I never had with my 1st. Just wondering if anyone has declined this or would it look bad? I just feel if it was my 1st I’d find it very useful breastfeeding, sleeping advice etc but feel like it’s a bit pointless? Not to add it’s for a day my little one is off nursery, partner will be at work the builders are starting work that week following an outside house fire we had, and the dog will be barking(crated) and the whole idea seems stressful. But absolutely happy for them to come after birth for checks ofc. I do have a midwife appointment next week so I could mention this to her also? I just don’t want it to seem negative/suspicious

We declined home visits with our health visitor after our baby was born just told them having strangers in the house stresses the dog out and they done it at a clinic! Done the same with the midwife for BP checks as well!

We had something similar, I accepted the visit and they were literally here for less than five minutes. We were having the garden renovated, there was people everywhere, the dog was going mad my eldest was asking for everything under the Sun. She literally arrived commented on how nice the garden was looking asked if I had any questions asked to see where the baby be sleeping and what I was planning to do feeding wise and if I needed any help. She gave me a leaflet with loads of numbers on and left 🤣. I wasn’t completely sure why she even came (I mean, I do know the reason they do a pre-birth visit but this seemed to completely pointless and a waste of everyone’s time)

Have my waters broken?!

I’ve just woken up to some liquid leaking out of me.. to say it was odd would be an understatement!
It’s clear and doesn’t smell at all really. But did I just pee myself a little?!?

I’ve popped a maternity pad on to see but what a weird feeling.
Anyone else unsure if their waters have broken?
I’m 38+1 😳

Girl names?

So we have found out we are having a girl!!
We have a couple of names but only 1 is sticking out to us.
I am worried about being too set on a name and it not feeling right when she's finally here in November... anyone else feel like this?

The name we are set on is Callie as Calla lilies are my favourite.

I would love some more baby girl names please. 🩷🩷

Help - 12 days since c section

I woke up and automatically stretched my whole body and I then felt my belly like scrunch, I dunno how to explain it, but I feel a bit tender now.

Does anyone/has anyone else done this before? I didn’t mean to even stretch it was like my body automatically done it.

Braxton hicks!!

Why on earth do they say that they don’t hurt but every mum I’ve spoken to has said they hurt?! I was having them terribly last night! Never had them with my first. But my belly was for sure tightening with each cramp. Absolutely not early labour though because they’ve stopped now haha
