My first c-section

I’ve been booked in for a c section due to complications during this pregnancy what should I expect and could I possibly ask to give birth naturally?

C section is rough. I had an emergency one so i cant say for a planned one. If u dont need to be put to sleep then u can have ur partner with you however if u do need general anaesthetic then ur partner cant be with you (thats what it was like for me idk if thats the same for everyone). Recovery is rough icl u have to move so that the swelling goes down but u dont want to move coz its painful. Best advice sleep sat up, also helps when getting up for ur baby coz its difficult to try n sit up. They say clean ur wound with boiled water (cooled down a bit) but honestly all i did was just made sure that the dried blood was off as i was terrified that if i got the scar wet it would cause an infection if it didnt dry properly. Also press a pillow where ur scar is when u have ur first bowel movement coz even on a laxative or stool softner it feels like ur scar is gunna bust open.
Hope all goes well for u

Had my baby girl at 27 weeks!

Whew definitely trust your gut ladies. I had my follow up appointment 24th, 28th came and all day I was up no nap binge watching the chi.

Peed at 11:50 and couldn’t stop peeing like I lied down, showered, been in 4 different night clothes, been threw 3 large pads and nothing Goulding stop my leaking fluid not even squeezing! I felt like I was peeing on myself and baby girl was definitely moving around I starting feeling come down towards my hoo hey. I was definitely in denial 🥲, but in my defense too too early.

1:49 exactly contraction came and never left my side… contractions is worst than the whole thing for me. with the help of my husband we kept tract on my contraction the whole time to the abundance came (the couldn’t sit or stay still to hurry to his car) timing they became 4-5 and less and less! Came in the hospital and to instantly 5 cm dilated, I couldn’t process nothing they were telling me asking us what to do because she might not make it.. she was also still kicking boxing me in there too.

Stortly moved to Labor and delivery 4:24am and knew everything was about to get real. I was get a steroid and magnesium for her brain and lung to mature and something to try and slow contractions. I asked them to check me again I felt pains move more down again more (all this while contraction was getting worst and worst by the way) and I the 7cm dilated they came in and told me I’m getting to have her soon, “let me know if you have to poop” I felt like I had to poop👀. Everyone was already in there with me so I did butterfly position and pushed and she came out small, mugging with her little cry🥹🥹 they lied her on my chest for a bit before taking her to her bed.

Born 6:50am, 2.7 pounds, 14.7 inches . She came out 2 pushes my tears, I had no epidural or gas. She slipped out🥹🩷🩷🩷🩷.. placenta came bout 4mins after. NOT a fan of the massages but hey no choice.

She doing good tho! Breathing tube out on the first day👏 alrighty don’t wanna leave her. Shes doing very very well. I’m nervous and excited, I’m nerve racked.

Feeling unsupported after C-section, even with a partner at home

Has anyone else had a C-section and felt like you’re doing everything on your own, even though your partner lives with you? I’m struggling to recover, take care of the baby, and keep up with everything, but my partner doesn’t really help. Would love to hear if others have been in this situation and how you managed.

How many hours between feeds?

My LG is 4 weeks old and doesn’t go more than 3 hours per feed, when does this usually start increasing?
Or what is your current LOs routine?

Braxton Hicks

Has anyone not experienced these yet?
I'm 28 weeks now and haven't had any in this pregnancy or in my first, or at least not that I've been aware of! I sometimes feel some tightening of my tummy but just assumed that's baby moving about as they don't hurt 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dry boogies

My little one had boogies, and I used an electric nasal aspirator to get it out one day... and she didn't like it... but ever since then, she have heavy duty boogies, and I can't seem to get it out without annoying her... I'm letting it be atm, but it is blocking her nose today, and I can hear her breath. Any idea how I can get rid of boogies please?
