Has anyone waited the full 12 weeks before having a scan?

So no EPU, no private scan. Just waiting for that 12 week scan and hoping for the best in the meantime.

I had an early miscarriage so with my next pregnancy I had multiple scans before and after 12 weeks

I had my first scan at 10 weeks, I couldn’t wait until 12 I was far too anxious. I think overall I had about 10 private scans throughout my pregnancy x

First baby I had a private one at 9 weeks. Second we waited until our 12 weeks.

I have had a confirmation scan at 6-7weeks but it doesn’t entail a detailed report at all, just a check that there is a viable pregnancy

Waited until 12 weeks and only had another scan at 20. Never paid for any more but it does seem to take forever to wait 😅

I've always went to the EPU to have an early scan just to insure the baby was in the womb with a heartbeat. It was always an internal scan

Most people in the UK NHS patients are only offered 2 scans at 12 and 20 weeks

My OB does an initial ultrasound at 8w to confirm pregnancy then if nothing is wrong throughout the weeks, I dont get another until 20w.. then we do a growth scan at 32w, then birth...

Baby Iris (due 13th July)

My 2nd baby. Found out late that i had gestational diabetes. Had it in first pregnancy but passed twice this time. At 36 weeks they said I was measuring big and needed a growth scan. Then baby was estimated to be 97th percentile. Had another test and found the gestational diabetes was back! You can imagine my relief when I went into spontaneous labour at 37+2. Woke up to my waters breaking at 12:50am. Contractions started about 1 hour later. Then Iris was born at 3:20am weighing 8lb 7oz. Just 2.5 hours from waters breaking! I have quick labours as my son's was 4 hours.
She's a very good, chill newborn! After having a velcro newborn first time, I'm enjoying this time round more!
Good luck to everyone yet to give birth. You've got this💪

Newborns eye

My boy is 2 weeks today and has had this gunky, swollen eye for about 10 days. We bathe it constantly but it seems to be more red and swollen the past 4.

Midwife’s are aware and said to contact a GP, but others have said to continue to bathe it. Should I just contact GP?

Early scan

Heyy all

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if an early scan is worth it? Thinking about booking one for 8 weeks but £80 to see what might just be a blob doesn’t seem worth it?!

When did everyone get their nhs scans ? Were u closer to 12 or 14 weeks?

Advice wanted!

Hi! I'm 25weeks! I just need some advice if possible, So I was out walking yesterday, I won't lie I felt like I was sitting more then I was actually walking, I kept feeling like the baby was sitting very low on my stomach and it was discomforting, is this even normal? Or does anyone know how to release the tension?
