Hi everyone. Looking for any similar experiences. At my 20 week scan today, I was told that my baby’s head and abdomen are both around the 3rd percentile. By contrast, her femur length is in the 40th percentile. I’ll get extra growth scans because of this. I also have a low lying anterior placenta (with a previous c section) so trying not to get too anxious about what may be ahead. Anyone else with a baby measuring so small? I also don’t really understand why the femur length is totally normal. TIA

I’m with you. I had a scan today, and they said the baby girl has a small head—also in the 3rd percentile—and a small hole in her heart. I’m beside myself with worry.

My second child was small, I had to have extra growth scans and scans with fetal medicine consultant. My first was a c-section so they also helped inform my birth plan as I wanted a VBAC. My daughter was just small for gestational age, not growth restricted and they suggested I have sweeps from 38 weeks to try and go into spontaneous labour otherwise it would have to be c-section at 39 weeks. I did go into labour following the first sweep and my daughter was born on 0.4th centile, no health problems just small
