I just went for my 28wk midwife appointment and my bump is measuring the same as it was at my 24 week one so I have been booked in for an emergency growth scan tomorrow. I am really worried about what this could mean as she said it has to be done either today or tomorrow, I never had this with my first pregnancy so just very confused amd upset. Any idea what will happen if baby is really small?

It’s likely just a measuring error. Fundal height is incredibly inaccurate.
Was it done by the same midwife? Had you eaten the exact same things before the appointment? Laid in exactly the same position? Baby in exactly the same position? Empty bladder both times? So many variables! Don’t worry x

My first measurement was 12th centile and I honestly didn’t believe it and was worried since my last baby was 99th. Booked my own scan and baby was a healthy 4lb 10, 90th centile. I don’t like the tape measurements. Try not to worry and see what the scan says, the scans are much better x

The growth scan should be a lot more accurate, and it will either put your mind at ease (most likely), or if theres a small chance theyll find an issue they will know right away how to handle it

I had lots of growth scans and ended up being induced the day I was 37 weeks as my placenta had stopped working. I was told he would be 5lb 5oz and he was exactly that. He is healthy and has put weight on incredibly. As much as you can don’t stress your body will to everything it can for your baby xx
