Going out alone with the baby.

Does anyone else struggle to go out alone with their baby? I seem to be okay when I am with my fiancé or a family member, but alone I feel so anxious. Does anyone else get this or have gotten past it?

Send help, slowly going insane 🤪

My issue is the car ride. Unless he’s falling asleep when we leave the house, he hates being back there alone :/ so it’s hard to plan bc I have to time it with his naps. And also YES I feel more vulnerable by myself like if I had to defend myself and protect a baby. I was never nervous about that before

Honestly I don’t know a single first time mum that hasn’t gone through this! I genuinely think the best way is just to push through, start local and easy - popping to the shops or going for a walk in a local park or just even around the block. Then work your way up to doing longer trips. Also try to get out to baby groups - you’ll find solidarity so quickly and if nothing more, you’ll witness a mum experiencing everything you dreaded having to tackle out in public and/or if your little one kicks off, the other mums will put your mind at ease that we’ve all been there!!! I find as well that if I leave it even just a day or two since getting out, I struggle again to get that momentum back but then that’s balanced with guilt of not socialising my daughter/ living Groundhog Day at home!

Either way, I hope you find some comfort that you’re not alone with that feeling!

Yes this is me 🤣 and this is my second 🤣 I don’t know what it is, but I know it will pass! I’m sure it will for you too x

My baby was born in December and I sort of set a goal to go out for ie collect a parcel from the shop. I found it easier to go out with a purpose and then it just started getting better and I got more used to it! It’s definitely still easier with someone with you but that’s what I found when I’m on my own xx

Something that helped me was parking right in front of the store and going to the store when it was busy so it would ease my mind for a worst case scenario someone would see I would also try and park near a camera as well! I would get the stroller set up first before getting my babe out the car and I still do so!

Alone time

This is probably not a big deal but I just want to share that after I put my baby to sleep, my husband also went to go to bed early so I spent my free time watching my show while eating ice cream and chips and as a stay at home mom sometimes that’s all I need. No one needed anything from me, I didn’t have anything to do, and I felt at ease knowing I was just existing…

True or false

I believe all women lose sexual interest if you disappoint them emotionally.

Getting turned down for jobs

Does anyone else feel like they are getting turned down for jobs because the employer is worried about you having more babies? I've had quite a few interviews lately all of which seemed to go well only to be rejected. Before having a child I found it fairly easy to get a job but am now really struggling.

Looking for mom friends 🤍

I don’t have sister-in-laws or any fam close so I’m looking for mom friends who want to stay close and work on the time and effort it takes to grow and build relationships with our kids included. I’m a very present mom. Jesus follower. Laid-back about the little things but passionate about people and their stories. Wedding videographer for 10 yrs. We’re homeschooling in the Fall. Most weekdays are flexible and open this summer. Located North of Denton. 🤍 happy to drive and also happy to host
