My baby got invited to a bday party. We said we would go but now I’m a little annoyed that she is telling adults what to wear. And it’s at a park. Not a fancy place.
We are still probably going to go because I know it’s important to show up, but would you also be annoyed?

In 90°+ weather that’s a wild request… but idk how much notice are they giving?

it’s in about 2 weeks. The mom made the Facebook event in January for a July bday. So I can tell she’s very excited and put a lot of thought into it! We haven’t known them that long so we just got the invite a few days ago.
Mostly i was just concerned once I saw the photo because I don’t own anything like that or even close to that fancy. And I’ll have to go buy my girls gold or yellow dresses already.

“Doesn’t have to be glitzy” then proceeds to share inspo photos of the glitziest shit ever 🤣🤣🤣 like wtaf

I’d wear a golden suit! I’m a geek and like dressing stupid, so I’d be happy with this.

yes! I saw the picture and my jaw dropped! And then I have to go walk around the zoo after?! And chase my kids around the park?!

I mean I understand having a themed party but for a two year old, in a park, in the middle of summer? That’s a bit much.

I personally love any reason to wear sequins 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I do however side eye the requirement for dress. Requesting is different then saying its expected.

Just dont go or tell her you dont have anything close to the dress code see if she has anything you can barrow

Um its hot, we gonna be outside and then suppose to go to the zoo outside with animals??? Its like she wanted a tea brunch attire in hot heat and then to go to a zoo. The math isnt mathing. Is the tea indoors? If so then cool… if not like whaaaaattt????? Its not spring or fall.. its summer!
If she planned since January… then im expecting those big outdoor fan misters that cool u off and im expecting this to be an event…. Not a childs play party.

Maybe use the color palette for reference as it says don’t go out your way for it. I think parents will just wear gold. And the kids can dress all cutesy.

She's high as a kite if she thinks people should do all that for the park and the zoo. Hell nah. The inspo pic doesn't give tea party.

Let me just whip out my knee high gold boots and disco halter top with mermaid skirt for the park and zoo. No problem.

Is the temperature above 80 degrees? If so, I think I would opt out! It’s a cute idea for an inside party
