Elective C section

I got my date for elective c section yesterday and I’m so happy and excited but suddenly really scared and worried I’m making the wrong decision😳 anyone have any positive stories?

Ive been calling for ages to get a date but no one answers me. How many weeks are you? I’m 36 tomorrow and I have no appointments or anything with the hospital set up. 🙈

I had an emergency C-section with my first. Recovery is hard but I feel like it was right for our family. This time around I’m having an elective and they said it is calm and so safe. It will be so special and although it does hurt after everything wears off you will never regret having that healthy baby in your arms… take it all in try and take pictures.. well your birth partner. You got this. Also don’t research to much because everyone is different.

not directly related but i have never dreamt of anything more than becoming a mum. I am currently 39 weeks and about to have my waters broken, and i am petrified. i have been ready until this moment. motherhood is so daunting, and instead of being scared, be positive❤️

Ugh I had an emergency c-section the first time and honestly wasn’t as bad as people made it out. I due to have my elective c-section next week and felt exactly like you did. I’m still very nervous because last time everything happened so fast I didn’t even get to think about it

Re-ultrasound

Did anyone attend their 20 week scan and end up going for a second scan? I’ve been send to the maternity day assessment unit for a 2nd scan 3 weeks after my original they told me everything was fine just to re check his heart as he was in an awkward position. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

5 Months PP- How to Rid of Shelf?

Hello, hello!
I'm 5 months post-partum and have not been doing any of my usual pre-pregnancy workouts. I used to do calorie deficit and weight train, but since I pump and breastfeed, I can't do the calorie deficit without dipping my milk supply and I don't feel ready to weight train because just lifting a tote box for moving had me feeling sore inside the section. But ya'll!! Are there other ways to get rid of that shelf on top of the scar? I've always had a little pooch to begin with but after the C Section it has been more prominent. Let me know what regimen helped you.

What percentile would this be (red dot)? Can't remember how to read the chart lol

Is anyone good with growth charts and can tell me what percentile I am measuring at? This was 28+2 weeks, and the midwife never told me, it's not mentioned in my notes like last pregnancy and I don't use AI lol

Increased discharge

I’m 33+2 and have noticed increased discharge the last couple of days.

This morning on school run I felt lots of dampness in my underwear, to the point that the skin between the top of my thighs felt damp!

I’m sure it’s discharge as it doesn’t smell like amniotic fluid and I haven’t had any more ‘gushes’ in the 2 hours since.

Has anyone else had this?

C section on hairline

I just had a look at my C Section scar in the mirror for the first time (yes I was scared out my mind) the scar is right at my hairline. That means I have to shave right on top of the scar. Anyone else? :-(

colostrum

does anyone know when your colostrum is meant to come in? I'm just at 35 weeks but when I try to hand express, all that comes out is just watery, a slight cream tint but really slight, not thick at all. (yes I know I'm meant to wait until 36 weeks but I'm likely to have to deliver early so I'm anxious to get a bit of stock.) I feel like it's pretty late to still not be getting anything, will it get thicker in the next week or does this suggest I might have some trouble with the colostrum coming in in time for my delivery?
