Pram Walks

My little girl is over 6 weeks old and doesn’t really enjoy going in her pram for too long. Her max. limit is 20mins before she starts crying. I’ve been trying to take her on daily walks just to get her used to it, but have never successfully managed to cross the 20mins limit when I have to take her home to feed/ comfort. I’ve tried putting her in the pram after a feed, or when she’s really sleepy and even when she’s awake, but she never really falls asleep in it no matter when I take her, always awake & looks around and then gets antsy around 20mins mark time. She’s better with car seats and loves the carrier, just not the pram!

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on what can I do to make her last longer in the pram?

I haven't had my LO not like the pram but the first few times I put him in if he was awake I used some high contrast picture cards and a high contrast soft rattle to make it fun for him and I would also put him in it once he fell asleep in my arms or his bouncer and left him to wake in it and the first time we took it out he fell right to sleep once we got moving at a steady pace. Just keep trying to make it feel safe for your LO and she may start enjoying it.

My first baby was like this she actually hated the pram and she still does now she’s 2.5 I can never get her in one. I used to just pop her in the carrier instead she preferred that than lying down. Or we just resulted in taking her out and carrying her.

Got these for my little one

I brought these for my one year old to get her off the bottles she was on

I did a lot of research on them, and a few people recommended them for her age

Just wanted to see what mums thought on here about them before I start using them

What is more torturous at night?

1) Waking up 1-2 times a night but each time it takes hours to get them back down

2) Wakes up every hour but they easily fall back asleep (with your help)

Agitated when breastfeeding

My 5 week old son is breastfed and expressed milk fed via bottle and normal is content on the breast but today out of nowhere he is really agitated and screams as if he isn’t getting any milk but I use a nipple shield and can see the milk is there. Any advice? I don’t want to have to give up breastfeeding 😢

How would you react - a bit annoyed at my partner

How would you react - a bit annoyed at my partner

Our LO is just over 2 years old.

Sadly I wasn’t in the room and my partner was in the room and he didn’t see what happened. I’m so annoyed at that. It’s bad enough our toddler fell off the sofa but I’m so annoyed he wasn’t watching to see what happened 😣

Apparently the Toddler was on the sofa and fell off 😔

I heard the impact of the fall from the bedroom and a cry straight after from what I could tell

Toddler was acting normal then and now but when discovered toddler was face up on the floor crying But clutching cheek from inside mouth. At first I thought toddler may have had a self inflicted bite.

This is what their face looks like today.

So all in all toddler seems fine. Although the whole situation is still giving me anxiety.

I mean, one thing that's really, annoying me is the fact that my partner was like so relaxed and was like oh it will be fine, there will be more knocks and worse. But it just pissed me off because I was thinking how does this not worry you?

I just feel like I was so much more worried about this than my partner was/is.

My partner is just so laid back about it. It's just me doing the research, checking, worrying, and wondering if toddler is okay. Partner was just watching football.

Like am I unreasonable?

Burning candles?

I know we shouldn’t because it’s not good for adults but especially babies but I miss burning a candle in the evening and we have a rented house that smells musty no matter how much we deep clean everything and air out the house for hours everyday. Does anyone burn a soy candle downstairs in the evening with windows being open whilst baby is upstairs asleep or do you think it’s too much of a risk? Any advice /opinions would be greatly appreciated (my baby is 9 months btw)

Antibiotic effect on breastmilk

I have been taking amoxicillin for a week now and my EBF baby has seemed to be coincidentally having GI issues? Larger spit ups, visibly and audibly uncomfortable, straining to poop/pas gas, lots of mucous in stool etc etc. he’s happy but also very uncomfortable. Anyone else have this issue?? Yesterday was my last day so I’m hoping he feels better soon. I feel so bad 😢
