Pretty sure the standard is 2 hours from when you start the bottle till needing discard. BUT I've also seen qualified people speak on how no major changes in bacteria happen at room temp within the first 24 hours, so of course, an old 12 hour bottle should be tossed regardless but personally. My baby feeds every 2-4 hours and if he leaves an oz, I'll refrigerate and add to his next bottle to finish. I feel the most important part is how you clean your bottles

I'm sure once baby's started feeding it needs to be used in that hour then needs throwing out. they can be left for 2 hours if they've not had any. if you were to put an unfinished bottle in the fridge I think bacteria can grow in it quicker so it's definitely not a good idea but if it's untouched they can be in there for 24 hours x

(don't quote me but this is what I've been told)

It depends on if you are formula feeding or if it's breast milk because there is a difference

I think formula was an hour and thawed breastmilk is two and freshly expressed breastmilk is four.

I do a smell test. I’ve even done a taste test lol.

I believe freshly pumped milk lasts 4 hrs but milk that was frozen and then thawed has to be drank within 2 hrs I think.. I got that info from something Babylist sent me in their care box.

Free stuff?

I’m 21 weeks today and so far haven’t explored any of the freebies. I tried to sign up for one of them but it ended up wanting all my details and I ended up getting nothing. Which are easy and actually worth while?

England game

Just curious, would you be happy for your partner to go out to watch the England v Mexico game tonight at 1am when you are 12 days post partum and still working out the nights together and exclusively breastfeeding? He’s leaving at 10.45 and probs won’t be back until 3ish I’m not sure maybe even longer. He normally does the first half of the night I don’t think I’m gonna get much sleep tonight as he will most likely end up falling asleep when he gets in rather than helping out.

When does it get easier!!!

Parents of older children, what age did you find life got easier? My toddler is 2 and 1/2, everything seems like a fight, getting dressed, brushing teeth, eating dinner, leaving anywhere like the park, tantrums are constant!! It’s honestly exhausting and getting me down. What age did people find everything just gets a bit easier???? I know there is an end in sight but just curious when 🙈

Diaper change at night

How’s everyone fitting in diaper changes with nighttime feeds? At first I would change him and then he’d eat, but then I switched to feeding him on one breast changing him and then feeding him on the other breast. He gets hiccups occasionally, so I worry that laying him down in between breast isn’t the best option & wondering if I should go back to changing him before he eats??
