How to support a 'highly sensitive child'?

Does anyone else have experience with this? Our 8 year old is the most kind, sweet and gentle child you could meet. She has empathy beyond her years and not a mean bone in her body. As parents, this made our job easier until now.

How do we support her with navigating preteen drama, and give her the tools and resilience she needs to survive in the 'real world'?

I'm starting to feel like we've failed her as parents 😔

You haven't failed and I don't think this is something you should try to change.
Pre teen is a while off anyway, but all children find a way to navigate through it themselves. Some fight, some are mouthy, some walk away. She will find a way to deal with problems that suits her personality and you just have to check in and make sure she's OK. She doesn't have to be unkind or ballsy to be resilient. Have faith in her.

Diaper change at night

How’s everyone fitting in diaper changes with nighttime feeds? At first I would change him and then he’d eat, but then I switched to feeding him on one breast changing him and then feeding him on the other breast. He gets hiccups occasionally, so I worry that laying him down in between breast isn’t the best option & wondering if I should go back to changing him before he eats??

Am I overreacting with my two year old?

Problems I’m experiencing with my two year old. (He will be 3 in August)

- Doesn’t listen unless I threaten to spank him or yell or scream

- Super hyperactive but will focus on something completely weird and dumb for 40 minutes straight. Like for an example, we went to a firework show and he wouldn’t sit still the entire time we were waiting for the fireworks to start but then he randomly started playing with the seatbelt in his stroller for 20-30 minutes straight and wouldn’t budge even when we called his name or tried to get his attention.

- He’s scared of water being on his face and head. I mean extremely scared like he will scream bloody murder and fight horribly.

- He refuses to use the potty consistently. He has days where he’s interested and sometimes will be okay with peeing in the potty but then he’ll go weeks and months not wanting anything to do with it no matter how much we try to encourage him.

- Whenever he gets mad or upset or whatever, he’ll cover his ears with his hands.

Should I get him checked for autism or adhd? His father has extreme adhd.

I'm already noticed with my 3month old that the shorts in the girls section are much shorter than the boys.

Is that not weird? Not diaper covers. Actual shorts.

Milk supply dropping

I’m currently 4 weeks pp and on my 3rd week my milk supply was double at nearly every pumping session and now on the 4th week it’s half what my baby has. (I nurse my son at night and pump throughout the day). I wonder why my supply has suddenly dropped. Anyone experience something similar?
