Working out

Have y’all started working out again? I’m 10 weeks postpartum and I haven’t really felt like I had the energy to workout. I am doing physical therapy twice a week and then being active a bit at home just with housework and all the lifting and holding haha idk I feel sore all the time anyway even though I’m not back in the gym or doing work outs at home. Is anyone else feeling this way? Are y’all back to your regular routine with working out?

I used to be in such good shape always at the gym but ever since I had my baby I never want to go. Idk why. It feels like a chore like I dread to do it

Heck no 😅
Im using LO as a weight sometimes. But I get well over 10,000 steps a day just pacing and rocking, my arms burn holding her, and my back aches. Once she has longer wake windows and independent play, I plan to get back to it (I have a home gym, very small though)
I do lunges, squats, arm curls, arm presses, etc with her as the weight 😂

I used to run every day, now I'm lucky to get one run a week!

Thanks for commenting y’all! It makes me feel good I’m not alone. It’s so easy to put pressure on myself to get back to how things were with that part of my life but it seems like it’s normal that I haven’t been feeling able to yet. Hopefully eventually I can get back into it but I guess I will give myself some grace for now and just do what I can.

She's here!!!

Little miss decided to arrive at 37+4wks, a few days ago, she's tinyyy weighing in at only 5lbs12oz, but she is doing so well, bless her. FAR less dramatic than her big sister's start 😂😂.

She tried to need intervention, but then she changed her mind at the last minute and shuffled out 😂. Here in under 2hrs, not a bad attempt for a VBAC 🎉❤️ xx

Wishaw hospital

So we’ve been told by our midwife if you get to Wishaw after 9pm to go to the maternity entrance, which is fine, but if you arrive before 9pm to go to “triage”. Where is triage?! Do you go in the main entrance at the front then up to where the scans are? Just trying to be prepared 😅

Ready for weaning?

Baby can sit up - but only when assisted. He is very nearly there unassisted and will stay upright for a few seconds, but not for very long. Otherwise, his head control and sitting position is really strong. Is he ready for weaning, or do babies need to be sitting up completely unassisted first? Thanks!! X

Braxton hicks - uncomfortable!

Is anyone else like oh wow this is uncomfortable when you get Braxton hicks. Like I get them once every few days but when I do I’m like… wow! Imagine what contractions are like?! If this is a ‘warm up’. Anyone else? Haha.

C section

I’m potentially going to be having a C section. However, I’ve got a huge needle phobia and absolutely petrified of the thought of a C section.
I’ve had very mixed comments from people, about what the experience and recovery is like.
Is it as bad as I’m letting myself believe?

is it just me?

so today i wore fitted shorts and no matter where on my tummy they were it just felt pretty painful after say 5 mins of wearing them it happens with jeans too. Including underwear. I feel like the inside stitches are hurting more than the main outside stitch. Anyone else feel this kind of pain does it go away? im almost 9 months PP. Even when my baby steps on that area its really tender. If i use say anything somewhat tight in that area later in the day its painful to use my abs.
