Cancelled c-section

Hi,

I was in hospital yesterday ready for my section to be told too many emergency sections came through for me to be able to have my surgery which I completely understand. I have been told to ring back today 8am to see what the case is today.

Has anyone else had this happen? I’m desperate to meet my baby girl now I have built myself up so much mentally

Thank you

I had this happen. Cancelled initially, then happened 2 days later. Electives get pushed back if all is normal due to emergencies, which is understandable. Fingers crossed you get to meet your girl today

It can happen. I was induced ans when I arrived the doctors where having a discussion. They hadnt even done their first elective c section and it was 4pm at this point. I ended up with an emergency c section but they did at least 3 over night, one was 100% a bad emergency because the nurses were running down the hallway and mine ran out and quickly covered the glass shouting nothing to worry about. Thestre was litrally next to my room

Judgement about elected C-section

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant with my second and have chosen to have an elected C-section.

I had a really traumatic vaginal birth with my first (pretty sure my husband has PTSD from it) and a couple of years after that I had a stem cell transplant for a rare blood disease. I have been told I don't medically need one but my midwife is very supportive and says I can basically have the birth I want.

Everyone I tell this to though just keeps asking why, if you don't need one then why and then bringing up the current UK C-section statistics. It's driving me mad and I feel so judged.

Severely traumatic first c section, now may have to have another one 😭

Help 😭😭 my first C-section was dreadful, the midwife ruined the entire experience (emergency one, stuck in birth canal and midwife didn't listen, took the piss out of me) I'm so scared of having another one but waters broke early, have signs of an infection and they may have to deliver her early (33 weeks currently)
I'm so terrified, any advice to cope? I'll have hubby with me but still, the panic and everything 😭😭

After a 3 day labor, not sleeping and only 3 cm dialated in those 3 days but with contractions progressing hard and fast, my little prince was born via elective c section. Such a painfull and extremely exhausting 3 days but he is very worth it. 7.7.26 at 11.44 am born at 8lb 7oz. Baby rowan has entered the world.

Help needed

Hello mummas,

So I've just had an emergency c section on Sunday.

It wasn't what I wanted but I had no other choice. My body is in bits, all I want to do is be with baby but I physically can't do anything other than breast feed her 😩.

What did you ladies do to speed up recovery??
