Blood transfusion after birth?

So I guess I lost alot of blood during my c section and now they want my to get a blood infusion.. has anyone ever had it ? How long did it last for? Did it hurt ? Or was it like a regular IV?

I didn’t haven’t a blood transfusion after my section, but I did need an iron transfusion. It was through my original IV and tbh it didn’t feel good at all (it burned) and I cried the entire time. Looking back, I think it was a mix of the actual burning feeling and also me trying to process an emergency unplanned csection with a terrible nurse and just wanting to go home that made everything feel that much more intense!.. I’ve had friends who have had iron or blood transfusions and had zero complaints!

Usually up to 3 hours from it being removed from the blood fridge. They will do a set of obs (blood pressure etc) on you before you have your transfusion so you will know when it’s going to start.

Some bags are run through much quicker in the event of major haemorrhage etc but if you have had the time to make this post I doubt that is the case

3 months old HOW!?!???

How in the world are our April babies 3 months old already? Baby boy is 3 months old today and I go back to work on the 28th of this month. Dreading it so dang bad.

Severely traumatic first c section, now may have to have another one 😭

Help 😭😭 my first C-section was dreadful, the midwife ruined the entire experience (emergency one, stuck in birth canal and midwife didn't listen, took the piss out of me) I'm so scared of having another one but waters broke early, have signs of an infection and they may have to deliver her early (33 weeks currently)
I'm so terrified, any advice to cope? I'll have hubby with me but still, the panic and everything 😭😭

Hey girls I had made a post about my gender scan I had private and I wasn’t convinced on gender well today I had my 20 weeks scan and gender was confirmed to be not what I was told was told girl at private and am actually having a baby boy 🥰🩵

Cancelled c-section

Hi,

I was in hospital yesterday ready for my section to be told too many emergency sections came through for me to be able to have my surgery which I completely understand. I have been told to ring back today 8am to see what the case is today.

Has anyone else had this happen? I’m desperate to meet my baby girl now I have built myself up so much mentally

we are really struggling, we have a little boy called Mason and we are due our second in November but can’t pick any names. please can i have some inspiration for boys names that will go with Mason!!!
