Baby clenched fists

My LO is 10 weeks today and since birth his fists have been clenched and when I try to play with him his arms are so stiff and his fists stay clenched. He waved his arms around himself they are not fully locked but they only move when he wants to move them. Is this ok? Or should I see an osteopath maybe?

I would definitely ask your health visitor and if they dont know a GP or as you say, perhaps and osteopath

I would say it’s normal. My 3 month / 13 week old still is clenched a lot but has recently started to loosen his fists these last 10 days or so. He’s starting to grab toys now so I think it’s developmental

Very normal. Quick google search - “
At 10 weeks old, clenched fists are very common and usually a normal part of development caused by the palmar grasp reflex. Your baby is also likely going through growth and learning to explore. However, as your baby approaches 3 to 4 months, you should begin seeing their hands open up more frequently to reach for objects or bring to their mouth.” X

What are the least helpful things you’ve been told in pregnancy?

I can start
1) “you still have 2 months to go? But you’re massive already!”
2) “baby due September? Better push them earlier so you avoid extra year of childcare cost”
3) (to my partner upon announcing the news): “you better work more and harder get a promotion now”.

I can go on forever, thought the “you sure it’s not twins” comments were an urban legend but people are THAT stupid

Baby soft spot

How are your babies soft spots? I feel my LO’s is sometimes quite obvious and feels a bit sunken so it makes me a bit worried because it’s a sign of dehydration. He’s 11 weeks. You can’t always ‘see’ it, but can definitely feel it. He’s got plenty of wet nappies. How obvious is your babies?

Planned c section

Looks like they are going to have to give me a c section!
Deverstated is a understatement but needs must. Placenta is low and baby is breech.

If anyone on here's had one, can you tell me how the day of your c section plans out? And any advice really?
3rd baby but first c section.

Thank you!

3rd c section.

Hey anyone had a 3rd c section? Had to have all my babies by c sections due to their weight sizes and now having gestational diabetes for the second time. Just wondering how is recovery the 3rd time going? I’m dreading this c section as it’s my last one ever due to being high risk now & having to consider having my tubes tied

Chicken pox - 22 weeks pregnant

Just after some advice please! I’ve been around my younger brother quite a bit the past few days, and he’s just come out in chickenpox despite having them before! My mum reckons I had them when I was younger, am I best still contacting my midwife or GP to let them know?

Thanks in advance!
