Nappies

First time mum here👋🏼 what nappies is everyone getting or what nappies have you used in the past and found where the best? Currently got pampers but don’t want to stock up if there’s better ones that are slightly cheaper as pampers I find are so expensive 🤦🏽‍♀️❤️ thankyou x

I always used Fred and Flo from Tesco for both my kids which I’ve never had an issue with. I had Pampers once for each baby as I was gifted them but each time they got a rash and sore bums for them x

We use pampers but buy when on offer, they nearly always are somewhere we shop!

We’ve gone through every nappy brand! And much to our surprise lidls nappies are amazing! They currently have an offer on for size 2s what our baby fits into. Others that we tried either leak. Pampers is great too. Although lids is abit lighter and better in this heat when we just keep her in a nappy in extreme heat

I used mamia nappies from Lidl (super cheap) up until about size 3, then they just didn’t seem to do the job all that well after that. So I went on to use rascals for day time, and pampers for night time.

Lidls lupiloo nappies have worked a treat for us, no leakage, light and comfortable for my baby but I can imagine poo evolves and changes 😂😂 so may have switched in a few months

I use Aldi ones, used pampers up till about 2 months ago and I can’t fault the aldi ones

Sainsburys or Fred and flo at tesco. Used both the nappies and pull ups for both my daughters and I've never had any problems

Contact naps

My 7 month old contact naps. I love a contact nap and would quite happily do them until she decides otherwise however, I am going back to work when she is 11 months. I’ve tried putting her down occasionally but every time has ended with tears.
Do I just carry on contact napping until I go back to work and then just randomly stop, slowly wean off contact napping (how to go about this and when it a good time to start?) or just persevere with putting her down every nap until she gets used to it?

Do you find being a mother so hard on the daily

Mine are 7 months and 3.5. Pre shchooler is my biggest stress I’ve never known anything like it. She’s relentless and it’s like being bullied 😂 7 months is a stage 5 clinger and cries when I do anything except holding her. Anyway I spend most my days in high levels of stress so much I can feel it in my chest. Partners like don’t understand why your so stressed!

Going out with newborn

Does anyone else find going out with a newborn really overwhelming? It feels like by the time you’ve left the house you’re already starting the feed, nappy, settle cycle all over again?? I have a refluxy baby who is also straining whilst pooing etc & having big watery diarrhoea like poos sometimes & I almost feel embarrassed to take her out because I don’t know what will happen in terms of spit up / poo etc….

17 months is HARD

can someone please tell I’m not alone in feeling like the 17 month old mark is so hard or am I just going crazy.
On lack of sleep still aswell as he isn’t sleeping through, everyday is a challenge and sometimes I find myself losing my patience by early evening because the constant tantrums, nothings ever right, one second somethings fun the literal next second it’s the worst idea ever and he screams over nothing.
He can’t tell me with words what it is he wants so this makes him frustrated and rightly so. But I’m just finding this whole age range so so difficult and challenging

Has anyone quit breastfeeding cold turkey?

Please none of these silly comments that it's detrimental, abusive or harmful for the child. Mums have their reason why they need to quit.

I'm ready to quit breastfeeding cold turkey, our son is almost 2 and I am currently almost 31 weeks pregnant, he has been ebf from the day he was born (yes he eats 3 meals a day). I just can't handle breastfeeding anymore, it's becoming overwhelming, overstimulating and difficult for many reasons. I know my milk has changed or gone and when he feeds now it is draining. He has a habit of nursing for 1 second, stretching the nipple then letting go and he repeats this continuously, he then will chew on the nipple (but without teeth if that makes sense) and it makes me itchy all over. Due to the change he now is waking in the night, when before he would nurse for his nap, then bedtime and sleep through. I tried the bandaid method and it doesn't seem to be working as he just cries and cries and I REFUSE to let him cry. My husband has tried to do sleep time but he won't sleep for my husband as he wants to nurse. He does have cows milk, water and squash, but doesn't want any of it when he wants to nurse. Any help would be appreciated... Again I said help, not unhelpful comments. Not everyone loves breastfeeding and I would love to have some sort of break before our 2nd is born. Photo to not get lost

Squirming all night long

My 9 week old has recently begun squirming all night long, kicking her legs and moving constantly whilst still asleep! She will settle herself for about a minute and then begin again. She naps well during the day in a swaddle, and uses a love to dream sleep sack at night but we've found she's started wiping her face with it so will be trying an ergopouch tonight. She usually sleeps for 4-hour stretches and only wakes once for a feed, but me and my husband aren't able to sleep with the constant noise! Any tips are really welcome.
