Birthing options

Hi I was wondering if I could get some advice on what birthing option to go for
I’m wanting to know as much as possible on a vaginal birth and a c section, so I can make a informed decision
I faint when in pain or too hot which is why I’m undecided and obviously want to go for the safest option

I really recommend looking into “The Naked Doula” they also do an app and provide so much information on everything!! There are lots of different pain relief options for if you decided to go for a vaginal birth.

I'm also really sensitive to pain and opting for a c section for this reason (and also because sleep deprivation makes me extremely depressed, ptsd etc). Recovery for c section is harder but at least I know when to expect pain and can get meds, whereas with labour you never know, and the baby isn't out yet so there's a risk for more people. You should see an OB to talk through the options though?

If you want a large family I would aim for a vaginal birth, as complications can increase with the more c-sections you have. It is major abdominal surgery. There are different pain options for vaginal delivery from gas and air to the epidural and more in between. Also consider what you want the recovery to look like, I had to have blood thinning injections every day for 6 weeks after my emergency c-section.

I had an unmedicated vaginal birth if you have any questions about it

3rd degree tear…what to do now?

I had a 3rd degree tear with 6 litres of blood loss with my first. I have fully recovered. I’m pregnant with my second and terrified to give birth at my nearest hospital as the care has been atrocious. My neighbour knows someone who died last month giving birth there. I’m being told NOT to have a home birth but I’m sh** scared to give birth at this hospital. Anyone had a third degree tear then had a home birth?

Positive back-to-back (occipito-posterior) stories

Ladies, I need to hear your positive stories please. Today is my due date and I've just had a scan and been told that baby is in a back-to-back position.

I have tried to look for positive birth stories but all I can find are horror ones about how bad the pain is!

My first baby was a lengthy 5 day induction followed by sepsis and an emergency section which took my body so long to recover from.

I feel a bit wounded that I don't think I will have a positive story to reflect back on.

I have been scheduled for a c section on Monday if baby isn't already here, but I'm now considering pulling it forward.

Please let me know your thoughts 💕

Sickness and diarrhoea in third trimester

Has anyone else had sickness, and diarrhoea during the third trimester? Im 36+5 went to bed last night feeling fine, woke up half way through the night being sick and was on the toilet for a while. Partner ate the same food as me all day yesterday and is feeling fine. Is this a sign of labour?
