Ladies, I need to hear your positive stories please. Today is my due date and I've just had a scan and been told that baby is in a back-to-back position.
I have tried to look for positive birth stories but all I can find are horror ones about how bad the pain is!
My first baby was a lengthy 5 day induction followed by sepsis and an emergency section which took my body so long to recover from.
I feel a bit wounded that I don't think I will have a positive story to reflect back on.
I have been scheduled for a c section on Monday if baby isn't already here, but I'm now considering pulling it forward.
Please let me know your thoughts 💕

Good news is that they know. They didn’t for my first which was a big part of it. I ended up with forceps and a spinal block which wasn’t too bad (once they realised!) x

Hi! My 11 week old and I were back to back, yes it was uncomfortable but I made it to 6cm dilated before going into the hospital! I had some oral morphine at 1cm as I also had PGP but made it to 6 at home before heading to the hospital to get checked out. I did not need any assistance with forceps and I had minimal blood loss (100ml) and two tiny superficial tears. I ended up having gas and air, and the injection opiates (I can’t remember the name so sorry!) I had asked for an epidural purely out of fear of the ring of fire but i was 9cm and felt it all anyways as it failed 😅 all in all it wasn’t horrendous or scary, it was of course uncomfortable and I had to be laid on my back or I couldn’t get comfy but otherwise, we made it through!

My baby was born naturally from a back to back position.
Went to the hospital the night before for raised blood pressure at around 6pm after which I had a bloody show and the pains started around 11 pm (was 1cm dilated), they sent me home without checking again at around 12-1. Called up and was told I was allowed back to get an anti sickness injection at around 3 am when I got there they saw I was in pain and checked me and I was 8 or 9 cm dilated. Got taken straight to the labour ward and gas and air became my best friend. Had a water birth at 5:33. Honestly can’t say I know what the ring of fire is. Baby was born facing upwards still in her sack and she popped it herself. Had a second degree tear but honestly that was probably because I rushed when I heard the word episiotomy haha. swelling and everything went down probably the first week, I made sure to drink loads of water and change pad every 4 hours max (had a timer) and also wash down there after everytime.
