Baby name responses

I've picked my baby name, and when I've told a few people, their reaction has been a bit flat. My MIL was even bold enough to tell me no, and that I should call him something beginning with J, like all his cousins.

Does anyone else get an irrational rage when people disagree about their chosen name? He's my baby... I'll do what I want!!!

I named by baby Phoebe. I got a lot of “is that a family name?” Or “are you a huge friends fan” no and yes. Don’t let people steal your joy over your baby or their name!

This is why Im going to keep any ideas quiet, so no one can feel entitled to share an unwanted opinion!! You go with what you want girl 🩷

The cousin thing is absolutely ridiculous. That is your child. Tell her to change the cousins' names to match your lol.

My advice is to tell no one else. Some people will ask, expecting you to tell them, but seriously instead just say that you have a "few ideas" and give no details. Do not listen to your MIL. Idk why MILs think they get a say in anything.

I just made a post similar to this. My girls are going to be named Agatha and Lucinda and my dad straight out said they were stupid. But its our choice and me an my husband love them so poo poo on the haters

Yeah we just didn’t tell anyone 🥲

I don't say the baby name until they are born. The only time I say it out loud is doing the "Starbucks" test

I’ve had 2 babies and I called them Theodore (Theo ) and Charlotte . I didn’t tell anyone until they were both born . Then people don’t comment . It’s your baby and sod everyone else ❤️

I had people hate the name ( + grandparents) before baby born then after they suddenly liked it lol. For my one daughter I get asked if she's named after the place or the road ...NO it actually is a family name lol annoying. My one daughter I always get omg that's a beautiful name so it's annoying when my others there asking if it's after a place...

What are the least helpful things you’ve been told in pregnancy?

I can start
1) “you still have 2 months to go? But you’re massive already!”
2) “baby due September? Better push them earlier so you avoid extra year of childcare cost”
3) (to my partner upon announcing the news): “you better work more and harder get a promotion now”.

I can go on forever, thought the “you sure it’s not twins” comments were an urban legend but people are THAT stupid

Planned c section

Looks like they are going to have to give me a c section!
Deverstated is a understatement but needs must. Placenta is low and baby is breech.

If anyone on here's had one, can you tell me how the day of your c section plans out? And any advice really?
3rd baby but first c section.

Thank you!

3rd c section.

Hey anyone had a 3rd c section? Had to have all my babies by c sections due to their weight sizes and now having gestational diabetes for the second time. Just wondering how is recovery the 3rd time going? I’m dreading this c section as it’s my last one ever due to being high risk now & having to consider having my tubes tied

30 weeks today!! Final count down 💪🏼

FTM, Going to start packing my hospital bags as of today, any tips on essentials that aren’t really spoken about? I’ve heard a few ladies buying some hospital gowns to take to hospital (easier cleaning etc after birth) how true is this though? Because I was only planning on taking a few dark pyjamas shorts sets! also is it worth taking breast pumps?? I’m planning on breastfeeding but also have formula just in case but heard breast pumps can make it easier for your milk to come through if struggling with latch/production. Ps I’ll be staying in hospital for a minimum of 2 days due to positive GBS swap. Any tips would be so helpful thank you 🙏🏼
