I am 5 mpp,I have been numb in my lower belly since the csec. My family doc in the 6 wk checkup said its normal since nerves were cut and takes time to heal but how long?

Sometimes the numbness stays. I've been numb since my first csection almost 10 years ago now.

I was numb for ages .. I’m 2 years on now and atol have small patches of numbness there and it just feels different x

My GP said it can take 2 years to start getting back to normal x

I had my baby 3 years ago, and I'm glad I have read these comments cause mine sfeels numb sometimes, and itches a lot to, can anyone recommend any creams that are good which will take the itchyness of abit, its only sometimes it itches and aches sometimes to xxxx

I got told it takes 12 weeks for inside and 8 on outside to heal xxx

I was numb from belly button down for 3 years before feeling stared to come back, just had my second c section and haven’t lost any feeling this time x

I’m 8 weeks pp and still numb I am see pelvic floor therapist and she told me to massage the area above and below the scar and then “re-activate” the nerves by running different stuff over the numb area. For example, she said start off with a cotton ball and just run it across the numb area for a week. Then move on to something a little more rough like a wash cloth, etc etc. I’m barely in my first week trying this out so can’t yet report if it works but it’s worth a shot!
